This week aboard GOAT 2.0, our Lagoon 400, we officially start the next phase of upgrades by improving one of the most critical (and often overlooked) systems onboard: tank monitoring. We installed Gobius C tank sensors, bringing accurate, reliable tank level information back to the boat without drilling holes or dealing with unreliable floats. But it wasn’t all wiring and configuration—because boat life is also about balance. So we took a break, jumped on our Harley-Davidsons, and rode along the southern coast of Spain, discovering the town of Adra… and unexpectedly finding tequeños, which immediately made the trip worth it. ⚙️ GOBIUS C TANK SENSOR – TECHNICAL OVERVIEW The Gobius C is a non-invasive ultrasonic tank level sensor, designed specifically for marine environments where reliability and simplicity matter. Instead of installing probes or floats inside the tank, the Gobius C is mounted externally on the outside of the tank and uses ultrasonic technology to measure the liquid level through the tank wall. Key Features & Specs: Non-invasive installation – no drilling, no contact with liquids Ultrasonic sensing through plastic or fiberglass tanks Compatible with fresh water, grey water, and black water tanks NMEA 2000 compatible, integrating directly into modern marine networks Outputs real-time tank level data to chartplotters, MFDs, and monitoring systems Extremely reliable in sloshing conditions and under sail Zero maintenance, no moving parts On GOAT 2.0, the Gobius C sensors feed directly into our NMEA 2000 backbone, allowing us to see tank levels on our navigation displays and inside our Raspberry Pi / Signal K system. This is a massive upgrade over traditional float sensors, which are notorious for sticking, failing, or giving false readings. For a cruising catamaran, knowing exactly how much water you have left is not a luxury—it’s safety and autonomy. 🏍️ LIFE BEYOND THE BOAT After days of boat projects, we needed a change of pace. So we fired up the Harleys and rode along the stunning Andalusian coastline, ending up in Adra, a small coastal town with deep maritime roots and a relaxed, authentic vibe. And then came the surprise: tequeños. Crispy, cheesy, perfect fuel after a long ride. Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not looking for them. IN THIS EPISODE: Installing Gobius C tank sensors on our Lagoon 400 Integrating tank data into NMEA 2000 & onboard systems Why non-invasive tank sensors make sense for cruisers Harley-Davidson ride along southern Spain Discovering Adra and unexpected comfort food FOLLOW OUR JOURNEY: Instagram Sailing & Tech: @sailing_svgoat Instagram Lifestyle: @nobodysride Facebook: Sailing SV GOAT

Satisfaction II is a 2015 Hanse 345 listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Pittwater. This is a modern, easy, and quick cruiser in impressive condition. The cockpit is big with twin wheels and a large boarding / swim platform. Lines are led aft to the winches directly in front of the helms. In addition, there is an auto-pilot and self-tacking headsail; so single-handed sailing couldn't be easier. In Satisfaction II we have a big list of significant extras and updates. In addition to the self-tacking headsail there is a 105% genoa for maximum upwind performance. For sliding away from the breeze there are two Norths asymmetric spinnakers – a running gennaker in a sock and a close reaching gennaker on a Selden furler. This is a very fun sail plan! Importantly, the full four winches are installed (most 345’s simply have two as standard). The house batteries and charging system have been professionally upgraded to lithium. The B&G Zeus 9” plotter in the cockpit was installed new in 2023. There is AIS and a large inverter. Down below is the preferred two cabin layout which allows for the massive head and shower space plus the cockpit storage which is accessible internally and via the cockpit. Engine hours are around 460. She was last anti-fouled and serviced in June 2025 and importantly the standing rigging was professionally replaced at the same time. The Hanse 345 is a seriously versatile option, and Satisfaction II is probably the highest specified example we have seen. She is in great condition and would suit someone wanting to step into a well kept ready to go option with some seriously fun and exciting upgrades. Contact Peter for further information and to arrange inspection on a marina berth on Pittwater. +61 (02) 9960 6222 info@yoti.com.au Disclaimer: All information contained herein has been provided by the Vendor, or sources YOTI consider reliable. The 34-metre Baltic 111 Raven has rewritten the limits of monohull offshore performance, taking Monohull Line Honours, winning the IMA Transatlantic Trophy, and setting a new monohull race record in the 2026 RORC Transatlantic Race from Lanzarote to Antigua. Skippered by Damien Durchon, Raven crossed the finish line off English Harbour, Antigua, on Sunday 18 January, completing the 3,000-nautical-mile Atlantic crossing in just under seven days — an extraordinary achievement. Light for her length, foil-assisted and engineered to sustain very high average speeds for days at a time, Raven represents a new chapter in offshore maxi yacht design. Raven was welcomed into Falmouth Harbour by The Hon. Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez, Minister of Tourism & Economic Development, who congratulated the crew and presented the IMA Transatlantic Trophy as the first maxi yacht to finish the race. Fernandez highlighted Antigua’s role as the new finish destination for the RORC Transatlantic Race, underlining the island’s appeal to elite offshore racing yachts and international crews. A new benchmark for monohulls For navigator Will Oxley, who also navigated Comanche to the monohull race record in the 2022 RORC Transatlantic Race to Grenada, the comparison between the two boats highlights just how radical Raven is. Raven’s performance not only secures Monohull Line Honours and the IMA Trophy, but also establishes her as a leading contender for the overall IRC corrected-time result, with few boats capable of matching her blend of speed, stability and consistency. Raven has set the benchmark IRC corrected time to beat, though the next boat likely to finish is the Mach 50 Palanad 4. The scow-bow canting-keeler is well positioned to challenge for the overall lead under IRC. “This was the first transatlantic race for the boat and the owner,” said Durchon. “To set a record in your first attempt is something very special.” As Raven came to rest in Antigua, one thing was clear. This was not just a race win — it was a statement of intent from a new generation of offshore monohull.
The Balmain team of Henry Larkings, Tom Grimes and Lachlan Pryor became the 2025-26 Australian 18ft skiff champions following another sensational day’s racing in constantly changing conditions on Sydney Harbour today. The fleet went into the final day with a number of top contenders for the title carrying scores they hoped to discard while others were more consistent and had better scores before the final two races. It was hard to predict what may happen and the end result came down to the final run of the last race and a count back to decide the title. Throughout the day, wind conditions made things even more difficult for all teams as they battled very light winds in both races over the two-lap windward-leeward courses. Going into the final race, allowing for the leading teams’ discards, Shaw and Partners Financial Services (Keagan York) had a guaranteed 14 points score, regardless of where the team would finish in the race. Brisbane’s GC Sails (Scott Cunningham) had a net 11 points, Yandoo (Micah Lane) 12, Balmain 13, Lazarus Capital Partners (Tom Cunich) 15 and Germany’s Black Knight (Heinrich Von Bayern) was on 16 points net. When Yandoo led narrowly from Brisbane’s Big Foot Bags and Covers (Dave Hayter) at the final weather mark and had only a spinnaker run to the finish, the current Giltinan world champion looked a certain winner of the title, but another brilliant finishing burst by the young Balmain team, grabbed a narrow lead and victory which changed everything. The race win gave Balmain a total of 14 points, equal to Shaw and Partners, but Balmain took the championship title on count back with the last race victory. After each team discarded its worst performance from the five-race regatta, the final points table had Balmain on 14 points, followed by Shaw and Partners Financial Services (Keagan York, Matt Stenta and Tom Anderson) also on 14points, and Yandoo (Micah Lane, Fang Warren and Lewis Brake) on 15 points. Lazarus Capital Partners and GC Sails finished next on 17, Vaikobi (Kirk Mitchell) on 25, Black Knight on 26, Brisbane 18 Footers (Josh Sloman) on 30, Big Foot Bags and Covers on 32 points and Sixt (Jacob Marks) and Fisher & Paykel (Brett Van Munster) on 35 points. In today’s first race, Club Marine (Emma Rankin, Brandon Buyink and Jed Cruikshank) defeated Lazarus Capital Partners (Tom Cunich, Marc Chapon and Tim Westwood) by 17s with Balmain just 2s further back in third place The latter race resulted in Balmain’s win by 8s from Lazarus, with Yandoo another 5s back in third place. Club Marine’s victory in the first of the races was another historical moment as her skipper, Emma Rankin became the first female skipper to win a race in an Australian 18ft skiff championship. The racing over the three days was as close as the final point scores suggest. There were several lead changes, close finishes and some excellent performances by the Brisbane and German teams in very demanding conditions, which dominated the three days racing. With strong New Zealand teams expected to join the NSW, Queensland and European teams that competed this week, the upcoming Giltinan world Championship on Sydney Harbour in March should be one of the closest for many years. #voilier #voiliers #aventure #amourdelavoile #navigation #vacances #evasion #lovemylife #nomad #bahamas Voir notre page facebook : https://www.facebook.com/share/1A5JZpfPCX/?mibextid=wwXIfr

BENETEAU — Designed to Be Remarkable. -- About BENETEAU -- The first BENETEAU boats sailed from the shipyards of Croix-de-Vie over 140 years ago. Since that time, the BENETEAU brand has been synonymous with quality and innovation to all those who have taken to the water – first by the fishermen who made their livelihood from the sea and then by the legions of recreational boaters around the globe. Over the years, our commitment to innovating and embracing ideas, no matter how unconventional, has been at the forefront of who we are in order to bring you the best boat possible. BENETEAU was one of the first boatbuilders many years ago to use computer-aided design (CAD) as well as lighter, stronger composite building materials. We’ve also been at the cutting edge of using greener materials and processes to do our part in protecting the incredible world which we explore. However, all this innovation doesn’t mean we’ve turned our back on tradition. One thing we’ve discovered in over a century of boatbuilding is that new-world innovations work best with old-school craftsmanship. This combination has resulted in some of the most iconic sailboats and powerboats in the world – supremely seaworthy yachts renowned for their sense of style, luxury, and comfort along with their creative use of space and new technologies. -- Philosophy -- We’re a lot like you. We love the water in all its forms – the ocean, bays, lakes, and rivers. And we love sharing the boating lifestyle with our family and friends. This love manifests itself in every BENETEAU built in any one of our many manufacturing facilities worldwide. Every BENETEAU sailboat and powerboat on the water reflects the best efforts of the finest architects, designers, and craftsmen along with the highest quality materials and the latest innovations. When you purchase a BENETEAU, you become a valued member of our BENETEAU family. For this reason, our after-sale service is second to none as evidenced by the multitude of National Marine Manufacturers CSI Awards for Excellence in Customer Service. At the core of this outstanding service is our exceptional dealer network. Every one of our authorized BENETEAU dealers will be there for you – from choosing the right yacht to the handover and beyond. Your dealer will be your able guide when it comes to maintaining your boat properly and will help you maximize the return on your investment when it comes time to step up to another BENETEAU – and it usually does! We wouldn’t have it any other way.
