This Yacht is for Sale: https://bit.ly/4fgmc6u Become a NAUTI Member: https://bit.ly/NautiCrew Follow Us Building an Explorer Yacht @NautiGuys https://bit.ly/3yPe1Z5 They definitely don't build them like this anymore! Today, we're stepping aboard a 1989 Hatteras 65 Motor Yacht, and this classic cruiser has a lot more to offer than you might expect. The first thing that stood out to me was the space. The salon feels enormous, the layout is incredibly practical, and there’s storage everywhere. This is one of those boats that immediately makes you think, "I could actually live here." Some of my favorite features? The traditional yacht feel, the huge living areas, and how solid everything feels throughout the boat. It has that old-school Hatteras quality that so many boaters still love today. Rico was loving the engineering and build quality — this yacht was built during an era when durability and offshore capability were at the top of the priority list. If you're searching for an affordable liveaboard yacht, a classic motor yacht, or simply want to see what made Hatteras legendary, this one is definitely worth a look. Enjoy the walkthrough ⚓ She is currently listed for sale for $349,000. Sailing around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser, mostly solo, making videos whenever we have time for it. Comfortable at sea with 4 decades of sailing experience and hundreds of thousands of miles behind me. Even though this is season 8 on YouTube, I did not make that many videos in the beginning, and obviously not from my entire sailing life. Before full-time sailing 7 years ago, I sailed several seasons in the Mediterranean, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing and racing ever since. I also have more than 10 years of experience as a captain in search and rescue at sea in Norway.

After 3 years of waiting… we finally bought our next floating home. 🌎⛵️ In this episode of Sailing Banana Pancakes, we fly to Florida thinking we’re about to buy our dream boat a Leopard 50 catamaran only for the deal to completely fall apart. What started as the beginning of our next adventure quickly turned into one of the biggest decisions our family has ever made. From boat surveys, failed negotiations, and emotional rollercoasters… to beach chaos, Miami adventures, Superblue, family moments, and a last-minute phone call that changed everything, this episode has it all. We tour a brand-new Leopard 52, debate whether to walk away from the deal entirely, and question if this sailing life is really happening again. Then, just when we least expect it… everything changes. ⚓️ Boat shopping 🌴 Florida spring break chaos 😂 Family comedy & real moments 🌊 Sailing dreams becoming reality 🏝️ Miami, beaches, and pure Banana Pancakes energy After years away from sailing, Season 2 is officially happening. If you love sailing, family adventure, catamarans, travel vlogs, boat life, liveaboard sailing, or watching people make questionable life decisions on the ocean… welcome aboard. SUBSCRIBE and join us as we prepare to sail around the world with 4 kids, no real plan, and a whole lot of chaos.

If you are looking for the absolute perfect side dish to elevate your next backyard cookout, this Blackstone Esquites recipe is a total game-changer. Mexican Street Corn Salad takes all the legendary flavors of traditional Elotes—smoky charred corn, creamy cotija cheese, fresh cilantro, lime juice, and a kick of spice—and transforms it into an easy-to-serve flat-top masterpiece. The best part? We are using frozen corn straight from the bag as a genius weeknight shortcut. Cooking it on the 36" Blackstone griddle allows us to flash-sear the kernels at high heat, unlocking a deep, caramelized sweetness and smoky char. You can do this on a high-heat cast iron skillet as well. In this video, I walk you step-by-step through mastering your griddle's heat zones to turn a basic bag of frozen corn into a beautifully presented, restaurant-quality side dish. We’ll cover how to get the perfect texture without making the corn mushy, and I’ll share my signature plating tricks to make this dish visually stunning for your guests. Whether you are serving this alongside smoked brisket from the PitBoss or griddle burgers, this is the side dish everyone will be asking the recipe for. Step aboard the 2024 Sargo 36 Explorer with YachtLens at the Anacortes Boat Show and Trawlerfest. After our Sargo 45 Explorer walkthrough with Greg Hule of Inside Passage Yacht Sales reached more than half a million views, Greg is back, the boots are back, and this time we’re exploring the smaller but surprisingly large and capable Sargo 36 Explorer. This 36-foot all-weather cruiser packs a remarkable amount of usable space into a practical owner-operator package. In this full tour, Greg walks us through the hydraulic swim platform, extended cockpit roof, aft wet bar, full walkaround decks, high rails, starboard gunwale door, galley-up pilothouse, Garmin Surround View docking system, Volvo Penta D6-380 DPI power, joystick controls, generator, engine room access, forward cabin, aft cabin, second head, separate shower, and the clever details that make this boat feel much larger than its size suggests. One of the biggest surprises aboard this Sargo 36 is the volume. With two cabins, a proper galley, real headroom, smart storage, and practical service access, this is the kind of boat that makes you question how much length you actually need. And yes, Greg’s boots make a return appearance. New boots this time. The comment section may now proceed accordingly. Some boats don’t ask for attention; they just quietly earn trust the moment you step on board. The Boston Whaler 330 Vantage is one of those boats. Who is this boat really for? It’s built for experienced, family-oriented owners, often couples who have been boating for years and now want something that removes complexity. A platform for hosting kids and grandkids, where safety, visibility, and ease of use matter more than speed or offshore range. We then break it down properly: How it drives in real conditions Where it shines (social layout, comfort, safety, simplicity) Where it doesn’t (no overnight capability, limited offshore focus) And what you should compare it with before making a decision By the end, it becomes less about what the boat is and more about whether this is the kind of boating experience that actually fits your life now. In this episode, we install the exterior front door, get the house fully dried in, test paint colors for faux cedar siding, foam around the door frame, install drywall nailers around HVAC, plumbing, and gas lines, and turn leftover sheathing into attic flooring for storage. The house still isn’t finished — but with the roof, windows, and door finally in, it’s protected from the weather. It’s not a home yet, but it’s finally starting to feel like a shelter. Selling your sailboat this season? Before you list it on YachtWorld, Boat Trader, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or with a yacht broker, there are several things you should do first if you want your boat to sell faster and avoid losing thousands during survey and negotiation. In this Practical Sailor episode, we walk through a complete sailboat seller’s checklist, including how to price your used sailboat, whether to sell privately or use a broker, what paperwork and maintenance records to gather, what to clean, what to fix, how to prepare for survey and sea trial, and how to write a better boat-for-sale listing that builds buyer confidence. Whether you’re selling a Catalina, Hunter, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Island Packet, Tartan, C&C, Pearson, Sabre, or any other used cruising sailboat, this guide will help you prepare your boat before it goes on the market. We cover sailboat staging, decluttering, engine presentation, bilge cleaning, listing photos, disclosure, survey issues, price negotiation, included gear, and closing paperwork so buyers know exactly what they’re looking at. If you’re getting ready to sell a sailboat, list a used boat, work with a yacht broker, or prepare for a marine survey, this checklist will help you make the boat easier to trust, easier to inspect, and easier to buy. Practical Sailor is your trusted resource for reviews of sailboats and sailing gear. https://www.practical-sailor.com Chat with us on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/PracticalSailor/

We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! Having a Starlink mini on your boat transforms your life, well it has ours! Starlink means we can work on our YT channel, be constantly connected if we want to, even in the middle of an ocean ( which is a bit freaky!) Have facetime calls with the family whenever we want, always have comprehensive animated weather models not sketchy GRIB files, watch Netflix etc etc The mini goes a step further than that because it is portable, so we can simply unclip it from the boat and take it with us if we go on a road trip, we simply use one of the many great battery power banks available for the mini now ( links to the ones we showed at the bottom of the page) We didn't go into specifics of the cost in the video because it actually depends on where you register the Starlink, this determines the cost they decide to charge. Our monthly charge is 4,867.64 Columbian pesos ( thats £108.35 or $145.80us ) Thats for Roam Unlimited. We choose roam unlimited because with that contract we can flick the switch to 'Ocean' mode when we are more than 12nm offshore and still have connection. While on ocean mode we pay $2 (us) per GB but that's just for the period we are offshore, as soon as we are 12nm from land again we switch it back to our unlimited plan. checkout Peakdo who make that very neat clip on power bank here; https://www.peakdo.com/peakdo-linkpower-2-power-bank-for-starlink-mini-p6885437.html and the XTAR 158 is the biggest capacity you are allowed to carry on a plane so useful for maximum power. Also as I said in the video if the XTAR had been available when we fitted the mini I would have used it to power the Starlink full time instead of buying the Victron Pheonix inverter. It would have been easier to fit as I could have it closer, it would just need to be close to a usb socket to keep it charged up. This would be a vert effiecient way of setting it up and if the XTAR was just in a cupboard or something then you could still take it with you for road trips. Have a look at it here: https://xtar-link.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopuFD2CrXZ_47IoGhCpL4nPAvfbX955tNxy8eqw3znOZIAJohfh

We actually filmed this yacht a few years ago at a boat show, but at the time she was tied to the dock. This time, we had the opportunity to take her out to sea off the coast of Dubrovnik, which I think is really the only proper way to understand a yacht like this. At first glance, she appears elegant and understated, but the deeper you look, the more impressive she becomes. BEYOND CAPRICORN has an astonishing amount of interior volume for a yacht of her size, and every part of the design feels focused on practicality, comfort and serious long-range capability. This is not a yacht designed around flashy styling or trying to impress people on the dock. It is a yacht for somebody who genuinely wants to spend long periods at sea and explore the world properly. From the huge crew spaces and practical engine room access to the enormous storage capacity and 6,000 nautical mile range, there is a very clear philosophy behind this yacht. In this walkthrough, we take you through the guest accommodation, bridge, engine room, crew areas, sundeck and exterior spaces while also explaining why BEYOND CAPRICORN feels so different from many yachts of a similar size. If you enjoy explorer yachts, practical yacht design and yachts built with genuine cruising capability in mind, I think you will find this a fascinating tour. We left one of my favourite anchorages (with the bluest water) as storm on the way & into the safe holding of Preveza to enjoy the lightning show. The following evening we go to a local sardine festival, only to find our dinghy fuel has been pinched while we were away. Shane has an accident in the stinky waters here, while Amy & Oliver have a good belly laugh at his expense. We head more inland to a little town called Vonitsa with our friends Melusina where we go for a wander amongst the gum trees and have a few quiet days. Back to Preveza, water pump work and one more storm, ready to move on to enjoy our final month of Season One. Want early access to our videos? Wrapping up bigger canvas projects means a lot of leftover material, so Steve takes a couple of hours to knock out a quick, practical upgrade for Arabella’s 100-foot nylon anchor rode. Replacing an old, non-draining nylon stuff sack that was a hassle to flake rope into, Steve builds a custom "bucket-style" rope bag from scrap sailcloth, a breathable mesh bottom, and spare webbing. Armed with the Sailrite machine, he adds heavy-duty carry handles and a top clip system to ensure the line's eye-splice never gets lost at the bottom of the bag. After four years of full-time sailing aboard our sailing catamaran, we’re stepping into a brand new chapter. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been down in Tasmania searching for our next home at sea — inspecting everything from steel aft wheelhouse expedition vessels, to classic long-range trawlers and passagemakers. Day 11. Today was kind of lucky and kind of unlucky at the same time. We were quite slow overnight, which normally would’ve been frustrating… but it actually turned into a blessing in disguise. Because it meant I reached the Bay of Biscay traffic zone later than expected and could go through it during daylight instead of at night. And honestly, that made a huge difference mentally. I got decent sleep, could actually see what was around me, and didn’t have to spend the entire night stressed about traffic. What’s funny though is how massive the ocean still feels. On the AIS there are boats everywhere, but in reality, I barely actually see anyone. Most of the boats never came close enough to matter. We all just kind of slipped perfectly around each other without anyone needing to change course. Which honestly felt pretty cool. I did run into the charging issue again though, the same one I’ve had before. Luckily I now know how to work around it, so it wasn’t a huge problem today. But it is still a bit concerning long term, because if this keeps happening during the GGR, I’ll probably need to make some changes to the system. But honestly, one of the funniest parts of this whole journey is waking up every morning and realizing the community has created something new while I was asleep. Today I woke up and realized… apparently I now have a cat named Windy. Somehow my tiller got a name. There’s lore. There are ongoing jokes. There’s apparently a whole parade happening onboard half the time. I’m always the last one to know what’s going on in my own community. But it honestly makes me so happy. People are so invested in this journey and they keep adding their own little stories and characters into it, and somehow it’s become this giant shared adventure instead of just me alone on a boat. And I feel really lucky to be the vessel for all of it. 🌊🐦 ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology.
