La posizione del timoniere è centrale e avanzata rispetto ai modelli tradizionali: non troviamo più le classiche ruote del timone, ma una barra diretta che garantisce controllo immediato e sensibilità durante la navigazione. Interni minimal ma funzionali Gli interni del Beneteau First 36 SE sono progettati con una filosofia chiara: ridurre il peso mantenendo il minimo comfort necessario per la navigazione offshore. Tra le soluzioni adottate troviamo: paglioli in sandwich alleggerito accessori della cucina e del carteggio in carbonio porte cabine ultra leggere con chiusura magnetica Le cabine di poppa sono pensate per le regate offshore in doppio. Il letto può essere trasformato in branda con telo anti-rollio, permettendo ai due membri dell’equipaggio di riposare comodamente durante i turni. En este episodio continuamos con los trabajos en varadero, empezando por algo fundamental para la seguridad del barco: la válvula del pasacascos de la cocina. Estaba tan corroída que tenía agujeros, lo que significa que incluso cerrada podría seguir entrando agua. En el peor de los casos, algo así podría provocar un problema muy serio a bordo. También revisamos y sustituimos la manguera de la bomba de achique manual, que estaba cuarteada y a punto de fallar. Este tipo de elementos son clave, porque en una emergencia dependen de ellos para sacar el agua del barco. Además, aprovechamos el varadero para realizar otros trabajos: cambio del grifo de la cocina, instalación del cuenta RPM del motor y conexión de la bocina y el foco del mástil de mesana. 🔧 Un episodio completo de mantenimiento real, donde cada detalle cuenta para navegar con seguridad. We are upgrading our whole anchor set up, starting with a stainless steel anchor from Ultra Marine and then adding 100m of stainless steel chain from Cromox. To lift all that, we'll need a reliable windlass so we have increased the size of our windlass motor, switched out the gypsey to match the chain and even added a chain counter (thanks AR Peachment) to keep track of our scope. We live full time on our catamaran, and it's crucial that we can rely on safe equipment - we need enough chain to manage in deep anchorages, and an anchor that will hold our boat in storms and wind shifts. We don't usually use an anchor swivel but with this upgrade, we're adding the flip swivel from Ultra so we'll be testing out their whole system. Out in a field we roll them out, admire them… and then the excitement crashes. Once they’re on the boat, we realise they’re actually too long — a huge disappointment, and they’ll need altering before we can use them properly. Pushing on, we leave Yamba for Southport in tasty, wet, current‑filled conditions. In this tutorial, we’re diving into the Water Bowline—the essential upgrade for any climber, sailor, or outdoorsman who needs maximum security in harsh conditions. While the standard bowline is a classic, the Water Bowline adds a second half-hitch to the loop, transforming it into a much more reliable knot. Why switch to the Water Bowline? In this video, we break down how it outperforms the standard version in four key areas: 1) Superior Strength: The additional turn around the standing part distributes load more effectively, making it a "sturdier" structure than the basic loop. 2) Easy to Tie & Untie: Despite the extra security, it remains incredibly easy to "break" the back of the knot. Even after being soaked or heavily loaded, it won’t jam like a standard knot might. 3) Higher Breaking Strain: The extra coil increases the radius of the cordage’s bends. This reduces the stress on individual fibres, giving the knot a higher overall breaking strain compared to the standard bowline. 4) Rock-Solid Security: This is where it shines. Salut à tous les passionnés de voile et de vie alternative ! ⚓️ Je suis ENFIN de retour ! ⚓️ Oui, ça fait une éternité que je n'ai pas posté de vidéo sur la chaîne. La raison est simple : le manque de temps. Entre mes obligations professionnelles et de la vie personnelle, j'ai dû mettre la chaîne un peu en pause. Vous m'avez manqué ! Mais cette semaine, j'ai décidé de tout plaquer pour me ressourcer là où je me sens le mieux : à bord de mon voilier. Au programme de cette vidéo "retour au source" : 🌟 Le retour à bord : Je vous emmène avec moi pour une immersion totale. L'odeur du bateau, le bruit de l'eau, le calme de la marina... 🌙 Une nuit sur le voilier : Parce que pour se reconnecter, il faut passer du temps de qualité. Je vais passer toute la nuit à bord, vous montrer comment je m'organise pour dormir confortablement. 🔧 Le grand projet : Installation du thermostat DIY ! Vous l'aviez vu sur la vignette, c'est le gros dossier technique du moment. J'installe un thermostat "fait maison" (conçu par mes soins, on verra si ça marche ! 😉) pour mieux gérer mon chauffage. Adieu le froid au réveil ! Je vous montre toutes les étapes de l'installation. C'est une vidéo un peu spéciale, à la fois cosy (la nuit à bord) et technique (le bricolage). Ich baue die komplette Zahnstangen Lenkung meiner Amel Santorin 46 aus — und kämpfe dabei 4 Tage gegen eine einzige Schraube. Zahnstangen am Segelboot: Das Lenksystem, das kaputt geht bevor du's merkst — und das Steuerung und Autopilot gleichzeitig lahmlegt. Die Zähne sind direkt in die Steuerradachse eingefräst — sie treiben zwei Zahnstangen an, die über Bowdenzüge den Ruderquadranten im Achterschiff steuern. Zusätzlich sitzt ein Kettenrad auf der Achse, über das der Autopilot die Anlage antreibt. Wenn die Stangen an den immer gleichen Mittelzähnen brechen, ist beides gleichzeitig weg: Steuerung und Autopilot. Kein Backup auf See. Das wollte ich nicht erleben – also habe ich die Zahnstangen meiner Amel Santorin 46 präventiv ausgebaut und geprüft. Vier Tage hat mich dabei eine übersehene zweite Sperrschraube aufgehalten. Ich zeige den Geräusch-Check mit dem Schraubendreher als Hörgerät, den Moment wo ich kurz aufgegeben hatte, und was die Zahnstangen nach Jahren wirklich zu sagen hatten. Das Ergebnis hat mich selbst überrascht. Das Steuerrad dreht seitdem spürbar leichter. Wenn du gerne mitschraubst – abonniere den Kanal.
