So I have to give my wife lots of love because Reverie's Cushions have been sitting in the living room of our home since September of 2020 when we had them all done. Like all boat refits, you fix one thing and then find several more that need attention. We finally got enough done to clear Reverie in order to get to he boards. We had to reinforced the hatch boards on the v-Berth in order to replace the mattress and finally install all of our cushions. In addition we had to build a new hatch for the hole from the old A/C that was in the quarter berth and also a new hatch for our anchor locker which I made out of starboard. Here are the timeframes. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. The sailing in our home water the Baltic Sea is part of our preparation to sail to the Mediterranean Sea. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Litza is a Devon Rex cat and she is the real cattain aboard. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea.

This week we make a major announcement as we upend our lives and move to Florida. Our Boating Journey takes us across country for new jobs and adventure. EP 204: Disaster at sea.. 😲 It was time for Ricky to get our new dinghy.. we were so excited to get a new rib which meant no more pumping up our floor and having to lug around our pump all the time. We took her for a test drive.. since we want to upgrade her engine sometime soon we tried out a 9.9HP and a 15HP and my oh my did she fly with them both. So that's definitely in the pipelines.. After recieving our dinghy and doing some grocery shopping we decided to head off to our new anchorage spot. The next bay on called Grande Anse D'Arlet. On the way there we though since it was a perfect downwind sail to hoist up our asymetric... when disaster struck... Thanks for watching!
