Barefoot Hiker recaps and recounts the ordeals and beauty of a few New England states. Still hobbling with two injured toes, it didn't detract from the gorgeous panoramas of morning sunrise and mountainous views. Barefoot stopped into the notorious trail hostel The Yellow Deli and fell in love with the trail angel community of Dartmouth.

I continued hiking New York through Harriman State Park. I stayed with friends and later visited the New York Ren Faire. I set off to tackle the Bear Mountain area the next day. This included the notorious Lemon Squeezer. I tried and succeeded in not ripping my bag or rain cover as I navigated the tight fit. Bear Mountain held a trailside zoo and fun lodge. I walked across the Bear Mountain Bridge and caught a train passing as well as weekenders on a large boat. I decided to rest up at the Rock N Sole Hostel after a resupply. Craig and his family does a wonderful job as a bed and breakfast for weary hikers like myself. Bunkroom and basement accommodate a good number of hikers, while large portions at dinner and breakfast add to the luxurious ambience of a mountain cottage. I'm in high spirits as I reach Lehigh Gap and the start of Pennsylvania's rougher sections. My shoes, Salomon Trail Runners are being eaten alive; here's hoping they last a little while longer. #appalachiantrail2017 #at2017 #appalachiantrail #thetrek #blogger #vlogger #hiketheat #hikethewhites #hiking #hikingculture #backpacking #roamtheplanet #pennsylvania

Waialua's First Ever Warrior Dash held on the Dillingham Ranch. Very awesome experience and hope I get to be involved in future ones either through volunteering or running this exciting 3 mile obstacle course. We got muddy, we got wet, we got to hop over flames! This was an awesome chance to get out and challenge ourselves while having fun. Would love to have the Barefoot Hikers do this in the coming years.

Part 2 of the Makapu'u Lighthouse Rd Hike and Dragon's Nostrils Hike. Had a few hours to work on editing and playing around with some of the neat graphics, but we will see if I can stick with them. We traveled down from the Makapu'u Lighthouse portion of the hike on the southeast part of Oahu and made it down to the blowholes shooting giant blasts of tidal water high into the air. Fueled by the surf from the Molokai Channel, the water surges into narrow passages under the rocks and are propelled through, up and out for our enjoyment. We won't be able to see something like this until next winter season, so was very excited to catch it for the first hike of the Barefoot Hikers 2012. Barefoot Hikers is a group of novice hikers who go out whenever and check out the trails on Oahu or wherever we are. All you need to do is go on Facebook.com/BarefootHikers for meetup times. Hope to see you on trails like this. Thanks!

Windy is the best way to describe the ascent up the paved Makapu'u Lighthouse Road Trail. We got lucky with warm weather and sunny skies. It had rained for about three days straight prior to our trip. We still had a great turn out for this 3 and a half mile hike located on the eastern side of Oahu overlooking the Molokai Channel. Whales breached and played close to shore, kayakers were spotted, a geocache of hidden goods were found, and we all but got lost heading out of the Dragon's Nostrils. The sunburn was well worth it.

Got a chance to step outside to show how beautiful the river in the back of our hotel was, but no internet meant a delay in putting this up. Such a nice week for exploring out on the Yosemite National Park and loved every minute of it.

This video was uploaded from an Android phone. This video is from a Memorial Heritage Run held on Ford Island, Hawaii, by the Chief Petty Officers' Association of Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii for the First Class Petty Officers. The speech was given by one of the First Classes and as more information is given I will fill in. Sorry for the sound quality and picture quality as it was filmed on a potato. Behind the speechgiver is the Oklahoma Memorial and the pillars are representing the many men who now "man the rails" forever. When on approach the sailors of each U.S. Navy ship will render honors to those who died in Pearl Harbor by manning the rails, standing topside and saluting in a solemn sign of respect. The battleship is the U.S.S. Missouri. The Heritage Run is an event in which sailors of a command run in ranks singing cadence and, from one location to the next, recant and remember the events of December 7, 1941. 70 Years Since the Bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese Imperial forces.

Swimming With Dolphins in the lush valley of Waimanalo in Hawaii, Crystal and I were swept away by the soft skin and friendly nature of these beautiful beasts. After some prodding, Crystal and I both got to ride and swim with these gentle animals. Happy 26th Birthday present, baby! Can't wait until next year.

While venturing through the lush forests of the inner island, we got the chance to see three spectacular falls and the entirety of the island itself. While literally left breathless, this intermediate to advanced hike is a must for the adventure enthusiast.

Four friends set out on a journey they would never forget. Ok, so three made it to the top, but here is a video of the point just before we lost a member to fatigue. Crystal, Dave and I ventured forth and made our way to the beautiful scenery of the Eastern Ridge of Oahu, Hawaii. Viewable were the entire coastlines of both south and east directions including Pearl Harbor. One of the most intense hikes to date. This was just a small vlog as I gear up to be more active on this account with posting videos, etc.
