In un anno a Venezia "fanno l'inchino" oltre 600 grandi navi con numeri da far accapponare la pelle: 300 metri di lunghezza, 30 di larghezza e dal peso di almeno 130mila tonnellate di media. Questi giganti passano nei canali della città e attraccano a pochi metri dalla terra ferma, minacciandone così le fondamenta. Ma il rischio di danni strutturali agli edifici è solo parte del prezzo che la laguna rischia di pagare al turismo da grandi navi. Si pensi agli squilibri causati al sistema lagunare dallo spostamento di queste enormi masse d'acqua. Al rischio inquinamento. Ai disastrosi risultati che una manovra sbagliata potrebbe produrre, lì a pochi metri da Palazzo Ducale e Piazza San Marco. BASTA NAVI A VENEZIA: È UNA VERGOGNA, OLTRE CHE UNA MINACCIA TERRIBILE PER LA LAGUNA TUTTA. MOBILITIAMOCI! #FREECANALGRANDE Patrizio Roversi: Mi ricordo che dovevo imbarcarmi su di una nave da crociera, ai Caraibi. Sono arrivato al porto ma non la trovavo, anzi, non trovavo proprio il Porto. Mi avevano detto di andare in fondo alla strada, ma in fondo alla strada non c'era il mare, vedevo soltanto una specie di grattacielo molto più alto delle case a due o tre piani che fiancheggiavano il marciapiede. Avete indovinato: il grattacielo era proprio la nave sulla quale dovevo imbarcarmi, enorme e altissima. Io non ho nulla contro le crociere: in quell'occasione mi sono divertito, capisco che la crociera può essere un'ottima forma di vacanza e anzi so che se ne organizzano di molto interessanti, anche piene di spunti culturali. Ma con questo non è detto che i croceristi debbano arrivare direttamente in Piazza San Marco! Ero a Venezia, qualche settimana fa, in occasione della partenza di Adriatica per il Giro del Mondo sulle rotte di Pigafetta, e ho avuto occasione di trovarmi in vaporetto, di fronte ad una di queste navi enormi che stava navigando sul Canal Grande. Grande sì, ma evidentemente non abbastanza per farla transitare, tra il traffico di gondole e di barche. Ammetto che il passaggio della grande nave, scortata davanti e dietro dai rimorchiatori, aveva un suo fascino: mi è venuto in mente il Rex di Fellini. Solo che stavolta le onde erano vere, non di plastica nera (vedi filmato sul sito). Certo mi ha colpito la sproporzione e non ho potuto fare a meno di pensare alla Concordia che passa davanti al Giglio: a Venezia le navi non faranno proprio un "inchino", ma certo potremmo definirlo un "inquino", in tutti i sensi. E ho pensato anche ai turisti imbarcati sulla nave, tutti affacciati ai ponti con la macchina fotografica, destinati a stare a Venezia poche ore, dopo un semplice "passaggio" tra l'Isola di San Giorgio e la Riva degli Schiavoni: una "botta" (una foto) e via... Loro meriterebbero qualche cosa di più e Venezia meriterebbe qualche cosa di meno: i turisti più tempo in questa città unica al mondo e Venezia meno traumi e più rispetto.
