The Australian Sailing Team took home four medals from six events contested at the first Rio de Janeiro Olympic Test Event Aquece Rio - International Regatta 2014 and finished the week-long regatta as the best performed nation. Mat Belcher & Will Ryan won Gold in the Men's 470 and Tom Burton in the Laser. Nathan Outteridge & Iain Jensen won Silver in the 49er Class and Darren Bundock & Nina Curtis in the Nacra 17. While sailing from Mallorca to Ibiza aboard Miss Behaving, We received a VHF radio call from Palma Search and Rescue asking if we could assist in a rescue drill. A helicopter evacuation was executed. A very full-on experience! We also learned a few things, like you can't hear the radio that they're talking to you on when the helicopter is above!
