Lanzarote è una isola dell'arcipelago delle Canarie. A differenza delle sorelle Fuerteventura, Tenerife e Gran Canaria, non ha subito l'urbanizzazione selvaggia e la cementificazione grazie all'intervento di César Manrique, artista, scultore e urbanista di Lanzarote divenuto famoso in tutto il mondo.

Lanzarote, splendida isola delle Canarie è un paradiso voluto da Manrique. Una isola che seduce per colori, paesaggi e atmosfere. Le spiagge sono grandi e con sabbia dorata o bianca. Famosissime quella di Papagayo e la ventosa Famara dove si pratica surf o windsurf. Teguise è la vecchia capitale dal fascino orientale, mentre Arrecife è la nuova capitale, una moderna metropoli. Playa Blanca e Playa del Carmen sono le mete turistiche più gettonate. Non devono mancare le gite a la Graciosa. E' anche indispensabile dedicare più fiorate a visitare tutte le creazioni di Manrique, artista di fama internazionale del calibro di Picasso.
