Sailing along Bahamas is an interesting and sometimes can be an impressing experience. We did know the weather in advance but as Jack mentioned within his advice - expect 10 knots more. We were able to use both main and Genoa sails. We did not have appropriate wind angle to head straight, but we got a great time on our "uneven" boat for 2 days. Jack used zig-zag technique to cover the distance we needed under the sail. We anchored in a middle of Bank for the night, there was no land visible around at that time - I liked that view a lot. The next day we headed to Chub Cay and visited the island in few hours. There were not many people and activities at that time and we set sails straight to Nassau the next morning. Meet us in the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau next week...... Part 2 of our trip from Kemah to New Orleans - This includes locking through several locks, lift bridges and a great anchor our on the Mermantau river. Join us on our journey as we continue to rebuild, refit and prepare our Formosa 51 Sailboat for our continued cruising journey. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board. We are avid fans of Cruising Outpost and Good Ole Boat (Good Old Boat) magazines and love the ideas we get from them. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "How to repair a wooden mast, boom, spar or Bulkhead (Step by Step) " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Nxr-yxUjvQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
