Sailing around Boston Harbor Islands on a Merit 25 sailboat. Although we have not been living aboard like we used to, it has been great getting out on Falcon for some really great sailing. I feel as though we have been doing more technical sailing than before really getting a good feel out on the water getting ready to be back out there! Vlog #94! The last push to get the boat ready for sea. Getting the liferaft tested was a big job that had to be done. The Raft was an old one that had been living in my kitchen for the last 5 years and appeared to be in good condition. It was expensive but worth the the peace of mind getting it retested. With the engine, we changed the oil and all the filters. As with all old Perkins, this engine needs lots of oil top ups and a loada luvin to keep it running! One of the last big things on the list was the Plotter. In the last video it decided to quit and became an ex plotter! After looking around on the internet I found a self fix and saved the day . . . and a lot of money!!! The next video coming up, ( a bit erratic at the moment due to being at sea and being in places with crappy internet!) will be the start of the adventure proper. Thanks so much for watching. If you haven't yet, please subscribe and thumbs up my channel here on youtube and 'like my Facebook page 'Adventures of an old Seadog.

A compilation of my favorite My Classic Boat video clips from 2016. It features some of the owners we've interviewed on board their boats. A fantastic bunch of sailors who've helped this channel hit more than 112,000 viewers in this our first season. A massive thanks to them and many others who didn't make this edit. Their time will come. Please subscribe our channel. It's free and we need the numbers to take the brand forward in 2017. Copyrights Bob Aylott. myclassicboat.com Music Andy Billups.com
The overnight southerly died rather sooner than forecast, so the Bird Island fleet left the harbour Saturday morning in a 10 knot southeasterly. Maserati ran deep down the harbour and led the through the Heads with Giacomo and Chinese Whisper following. By 5pm Maserati and Giacomo were back at Rushcutters Bay with the latter half of the fleet working their way down the Northern Beaches in a light ENE breeze
Yesterday Jean Pierre Dick went into the Southern Ice Exclusion zone and lost 8 hours, Sebastien Desmarau has worked out how to start his engline with his Sails, Jean Le Cam is giving JP heaps, Enda has another "string to his bow" in VG Live and more repair work to get his main sail back up for Thomas Ruyant on Le Souffle Du Nord in French. Another huge report from www.boatson.tv the home of the leading weekly Sailing TV News Show "World on Water".
James Ward, Phil Marshall and Harry West won their first 18ft Skiff race today on Sydney Harbour when they brought Triple M home a clear winner of the Australian 18 Footer League’s Yandoo Trophy. The young team had to withstand immense pressure from the fleet’s top crews before crossing the finish line with 40s. to spare. Following last week’s brilliant performance with a brand new #1 rig, Appliancesonline.com.au (David Witt, Tom Anderson, Tom Clout) again showed the skiff to be a major threat in the upcoming championships with a great second placing.

Here's How: http://www.gonewiththewynns.com/join-us What should have been an easy sail turned into a beat in more ways than one! This week we mix work and fun as the marina we're staying in throws their annual Thanksgiving festivities. Three nights of bands, food, and beer; all leading up to a Thanksgiving day feast. Through the festivities we also manage to squeeze a few projects in on the boat, including working on our framing for the radar and wind generator, and trim out areas of the pilot house with cherry. Cheers from the work yard! Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons. These charitable souls help keep us in the work yard, our camera equipment up to date, and the videos coming.
