A rainbow outside Strangford Lough Yacht club at the start of the day reminded us that it only takes a little bit of sun shine to brighten up a cold and rainy day. In this episode of Sailing nandji we are preparing the boat for our first overseas voyage. Bonita makes a new sail cover for Nandji. We take off our sails and visit Aaron at Kore sails where he teaches Bonita how to repair sun-damaged stitches. Bonita repairs the mailsail and we put it back on the boat, along with the new sail cover! How to fiberglass your boat deck? Epoxy or Polyester? How should I prepare the surface? These are all the questions we had too, but we got so many different responses, we did our own testing of epoxy vs polyester. We also tested several different surface preparations and in the end, found the one that worked best for us and that we were most comfortable with. Anfang April 2017 habe ich mein Boot von Hamburg nach Dänemark überführt. Da ich mir auch gerade eine neue Kamera zugelegt habe, war das eine willkommene Gelegenheit um ein wenig damit herumzuprobieren.
