We have been at Shroud Cay in the Bahamas for about 3 days now. This place is incredible and probably one of our favorite places to visit in the Bahamas. This morning we had a new motor boat take a mooring ball right next to us, and the guy came over in his dinghy and offered us some fresh Mahi Tuna that his wife caught while on a fishing trip. We couldn't say no! Randall LOVES to cook and made a yummy stir fry to put the fish in. After we ate lunch we adventured over to the crescent shaped sand bar to relax, swim, play, and get some fun aerial shots with our drone. We can easily say this has been one of the best days of our lives! We are excited to be moving on further south in the Exumas to Little Cistern Cay. Stay tuned for more of our Epic Sailing Adventure! The last episode of Average Tech Fan, I went through all the cameras I use to film my Cruising Off Duty youtube channel (www.Youtube.com/CruisingOffDuty). I ranked each camera as to their value and usefulness to my production. My favourite camera is the Panasonic GH5 follow by my previous best camera, the Panasonic GH4. This video will break down all the differences between these 2 cameras. But, looking at the latest prices on Amazon.com you can pick up a GH4 for about $1,000 and you have to pay $2,000 for the GH5. Is the GH5's extra features worth twice the money? Well, it depends on if you plan to use those extra feature regularly in your video production. Most will not, so for most videographers and Youtubers that are on a budget, I think the GH4, at half the price, is the better deal and will suit their needs. The sailing adventure has begun! We purchased our boat down in the Caribbean after looking for the better part of a year and even a trip to the Mediterranean earlier to look at a different catamaran. This was an amazing trip and we found the boat to be everything we had hoped for and quite a bit more! We got to sail her from Martinique to Grenada where we pulled the boat out of the water and prepped her for 7 months of storage. while we finish work back home, AND get married!! Cannot wait for the rest of this story to unfold- stay tuned!!

Segeln ist einfach geil! Unsere Karibikrunde geht weiter: Von Grenada zu den ABC Inseln! Noch schnell mal eben das Kühlwassersystem gefixt und dann ging's los in Richtung Bonaire! Knapp 3 Tage sind wir auf dem Wasser gewesen und wir hatten wirklich richtig gute Bedingungen. Das war die wohl schönste und angenehmste aller unserer längeren Touren bisher. Wir haben sogar einen neuen persönlichen ETMAL Rekord aufstellen können! Diese Folge ist mal deutlich länger als alle anderen. Es soll einfach mal zeigen, was bei uns an Bord so abgeht während eines längeren Törns. With the boat nearing completion we are starting to think about our next destination. The last thing we want to do is stay in one spot with a newly refit sailboat. We take the time to head over to the west coast of Florida and check it out from Bradenton south to Fort Meyers. We really like the Punta Gorda area. The entire Charlotte Harbor area. We checked out the waterways all the way from the Peace River near Punta Gorda down to the barrier islands of Cayo Costa and Boca Grande. We explored the clear waters of the bay and the calm, clear blue Gulf of Mexico. We saw dolphins and manatee and stopped by a small little-uninhabited island and did some swimming. While we were swimming, we saw a tarpon swimming in the water. We even had lunch at a quaint little cottage and restaurant on the island of Cabbage Key. The boat work is getting ready to continue, but this was an excellent break from it. It was spring break for Chazzy (12-year-old), so we took advantage of the fact that we have a camper now. It is awesome that we can just connect to the truck and head out. We have it completely stocked with everything we need, so off we can go. Heck, we even did the most red-neck thing possible, and that was we camped in a Walmart Parking lot on the drive out toward Punta Gorda. Here are a few links to the places that we visited and stayed. We rented a scooter for a day of exploring the natural caves pools on Poro and Pacijan islands in the Camotes, off Cebu Island. Come with us explore the following pools: on Poro Island : Busay Falls, Bukilat Cave, Giwanon Sink hole and on Pacijan Island : Tinubo Cave, Heaven Cave & Amazing Island Cave.
