This was a wonderful crossing of the Indian Ocean. We started in Malaysia. Participated the Sabang Marine Festival in the North of Indonesia. Sailed down along Sumatra island and crossed the ocean to the beautiful Robinson styled Chagos Atoll, where we had an awesome time. With a lot of wind we flew to Madagascar. GTR gets too close to the shore while tacking up the narrows in an effort avoid the tide which was still rushing out at over 6 knots in the 2018 Bar Buoy Race. Luckily the delay did not cost too much time as they went on to win the race !

We will travel all along the mesmerizing Saronic Sea, and its main attractions the islands of Agistri, Moni and Aegina. The excursion begins at Marina Zeas where guests are expected to come on board at 08:45 am. The first stop of the cruise is the island of Agistri, surrounded by vibrant blue waters and clothed in pine trees. Here you can connect with the lush nature and feel the presence of ancients Greeks and deities while swimming and relaxing on the hot fine sand of the long flax-golden beach between Megalochori and Skala. Adventure lovers can join our optional bike tour between Melalochori and Chalikiada Beach. From there, we move onto the island of Moni. On the way there , we will serve a delicious traditional Greek lunch, accompanied by traditional wine, beers soft drinks and coffee. Once you finished your feast, you have the chance to jump off the boat, snorkel, swim around the boat, or swim to the island. Aegina is famous for its white stone houses, flowery backyards, pistachios, the red volcanic landscape, sensational food, the temple of Apollo and the temple of Aphaia; in fewer words an earthly paradise for those who want to escape modern life. Here you will enjoy the crystal-clear water and sandy beaches of the island, while exploring the breath-taking waterfront and traditional Greek cuisine. An excellent selection of jewellery, clothes and textiles are available from the locals. At approx. 4:45pm we will sail back to the port of Marina Zeas while enjoying the ambiance of a select and chill music, delicious Mediterranean fruits, coffee, and snacks.

In questo quarto video vi mostriamo come abbiamo collegato il nostro generatore elettrico all'impianto 12-220 V della barca. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare già bordo un generatore elettrico da 3,5 KW da revisionare completamente. Il generatore produce energia grazie a un motore a diesel e un alternatore. Questa corrente esce da un cavo che, passato attraverso una canalina, abbiamo fatto arrivare a una presa di corrente. A questa presa viene collegata la spina che arriva dal caricabatterie permettendoci di ricaricare le batterie e avere sempre la "scorta" di 12V. Per avere invece la 220 V diretta, dalla presa parte una diramazione che arriva al quadro della 220 attaccandosi a un teleruttore. Sia il teleruttore del geenratore ce quello dell'inverter confluiscono in un deviatore così da poter scegliere da quale fonte attingere. Dal teleruttore, la corrente passa a un salvavita o interruttore differenziale. Viene poi divisa ai vari interrutori magneto termici. da questi va ai relais collegati poi ad una morsettiera. Da questa partono le alimentazioni alle utenze. Ricordiamo a tutti che non siamo dei professionisti e qualunque consiglio è ben accetto! We travel to Petrovac Montenegro from Dubrovnik and discover the beauty it has to offer. We visit 4 different beaches, Petrovac's main beach, Lucice beach, Buljarica beach and Perazica Do beach. To get to Perazica Do beach we walk along cliff faces, through many long caves and take a small detour to check out the abandoned hotel, 'Hotel As'. Now, back to the open water *SCREECHING HALT* to fix our seacock that is seized and leaking water. A consistent dripping of water into the boat. Tucked into a little corner off of Sarasota Bay is the boatyard that comes recommended from our boating friends. Add a barge entering right behind us, and you get a very intense arrival. While the boat is out of the water to replace the seacock we decide to get a new bottom paint job, replace the zinc on our shaft, and repaint the propeller. The boatyard, NE Taylor Boatworks, was awesome and they had the work completed and Dodi back in the water in less than a week. The boat is finally in tip top shape, however our wallets have taken a hit. We feel optimistic about our future adventures but will need to get creative to continue our journey. That's The Boat Life!
