When an island has bull running, sea kayaking, diving, and cliff jumping, you know you're in for an adventure when you visit! Not knowing exactly how much time we have left to spend in the Azores, we try to take full advantage of each stop. While in Terceria, we visit their beautiful botanical gardens at the city center, and climb up through multiple levels for sprawling views of the bay below. Wanting to get our adventure kick in, we join up with Rope Adventures for a day of Coasteering. Layered up in gear, we snorkel the coastline until we're at a set of small cliffs where we take turns jumping into the sea down below. Lastly we are invited for a traditional Azorean lunch at the home of one of our YouTube followers. Fresh caught fish, plus locally made cheeses and desserts! Dopo essere partiti su Perseus da Porto Garibaldi, io, Chris, Blu il pastore e i due gatti siamo arrivati in Grecia. A Sivota incontriamo un'altra coppia di ragazzi italiani e i loro bimbi. Insieme navighiamo tra le isole ioniche. Si avvicina il momento di rientrare a casa, la prua di Perseus punta nord da qualche giorno. Lasciamo Parga per ancorare nella grande baia sud di Corfù. Passiamo gli ultimi giorni in Grecia con i ragazzi di Valeila, tra passeggiate in città, visite all'ultimo saponificio artigianale delal Grecia, aperitivi, bagni e relax. Dopo qualche giorno ripartiamo, risaliamo lungo le coste albanesi e quelle montenegrine passando due notti in mare in navigazione. I delfini ci fanno compagnia e ci accompagnano. Il terzo giorno il tempo peggiora, noi cominciamo a essere stanchi, così ci fermiamo nella baia di Rogacic, nell'Isola di Vis in Croazia. Il giorno seguente salpiamo ancora ma fuori dalla baia il mare è ancora molto mosso, non c'è un filo di vento, Perseus fatica ad avanzare a motore e io non mi sento molto bene, rientriamo in baia dove un forte temporale ci investe. Il tempo finalmente migliora, partiamo nuovamente, questa volta il vento ci aiuta e in due giorni, la notte dell'11 giugno alle 23.30 Perseus si mette a riposo nel suo ormeggio di Porteo Garibaldi. Living aboard and travelling in a 34ft yacht and in a motorhome with four kids. We head from Matapouri out to the Poor Knights for a snorkel and then work our way up the coast to Cape Brett. We are a family of six who are taking some time out of normal life to travel. We’ve pulled the kids from school and are home schooling while on the road and the water. We spend time aboard our 34ft sailing boat in NZ and have bought a camper in Europe so as to tour the other side of the world. We’re keeping our memories on video here and the kids write narration and play guitars so we have music to use in the videos.

The wind disappears and drifting in the current we are heading towards the busy shipping lane... This engine will be the death of us! https://www.sailingnandji.com This week on Sailing Nandji, we return to the islands of Karimunjawa to fix our headsail halyard and get some diesel so we are able to continue our journey towardsMalaysia. The further north we sail, the closer to the equator we go meaning light calm winds, smooth seas and massive squalls! We battle through relentless strong winds and rain to get the island of Belitung in sight. Needing to now traverse a busy skinny shipping lane through the dark night, we challenge ourselves with one hour shifts to concentrate on the compass as we upwind sail near reefs and islands. As the sun rises on our 6th day at sea, the wind disappears and we try to motor but nothing happens... Slowly in the 1 knot current we drift back towards the shipping lane... Who needs a Gearbox anyway... Ah, We Do!! We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have been in Indonesia for a couple of months cruising and are now high tailing to Malaysia for boat work. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some amazing people and experienced cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! A new set of national youth champions were crowned after a stunning final day of sailing on the Derwent River at the 2019 Australian Youth Championships presented by the Australian Maritime College. The regatta doubled as the second and final qualifying event for the Australian team for the 2019 Youth World Championships in Gdynia, Poland in July, so many athletes had cause for double celebration after the provisional team was announced during the presentation dinner at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania. www.sailingyouth.org.au
