Es folgen zwei weitere Wochenenden mit Laminier-, Schleif- und Streicharbeiten, bevor es am 1. Mai zum Ansegeln geht. Danke an das Team - das war großartig!

Fizemos uma pausa nos estudos para poder participar da 3a Regata do Bracuhy. Seria praticamente impossível não participarmos, uma vez que é uma das maiores regatas do Brasil, mais de 100 barcos participando, todos os amigos velejando juntos e a gente ia ficar recluso com tudo isso aqui dentro de casa? Até parece! Eu fiquei um mês falando para o Sérgio que não era pra gente se empolgar, que não queria forçar o barco, que não era pra gente se enfiar no meio da galera, que ia ter muita gente, etc... Bom, largamos atrás dos metaleiros, os barcos de aço. Quando deu a largada a gente estava muuuuuuito longe da linha da largada e já tinha um ventinho característico de Angra: zero. rs Chegamos em último e eu confesso meu arrependimento máximo. Fiquei chateada... Nunca mais faço isso na minha vida. Prometo! Nunca mais falo na cabeça do marido, porque agora o resto da vida ele vai ouvir dos amigos que chegou em último! rs Mas o que valeu a pena mesmo foi a festa! Que bagunça gostosa! Podia colocar muito mais da festa, mas optamos por preservar as amizades. kkkkk

With the engine room overhauled and the bow rebuilt, we have run into a wall as Chinese New year fast approaches and majority of the businesses in Langkawi shut down for 2 weeks. The lead up to the New year everyone was in holiday mode already and we could not get anything built. Uncle Kevin to the rescue!!! We load up his vessel with everything needed to be remade and a list of items needed to be purchased and off we go sailing to Thailand! With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have just sailed 2000nm through Indonesia and have arrived to Malaysia to complete major boat work, ready for the next big adventure. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced different cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! Earlier this year I was given the honour of attending the Benetti YachtMaster event in Viareggio. I was asked to interview two highly experienced Captain's in particularly regarding their experiences at Benetti and how this may benefit other Captains. It was a wonderful opportunity to observe the high regard that Benetti hold for these important industry professionals, but also to get to know two experienced Captains a little better: Capt. David Davidson, and Capt. Mario Lodovico Salani.
