Redlining is a denial of features, services, or social items to populations due to economic, location (rural), or sometimes race based differences. In a nutshell. "it's expensive to be poor" I address redlining more as a denial of opportunity than a denial of equity. No magic or deep philosophy in this one, but video number 2.

Fouling our anchor and fun in Vava'u In this episode we arrive in Vava'u and manage to foul our anchor for the first time ever. We say a very sad goodbye to Rob's Popeye shirt. We locate Ian from 'Trouble in Paradise' who fixes our outboard motor and after re-provisioning in the wonderful markets we head off to explore for a few days. In what turned out to be the culmination of absolutely unbelievable season of things happening to us and around us, we get backed down on by a huge day-cruise boat. I called it a ferry in the title because these sized boats ply the waters around the Ionian islands as ferries, all the time, and calling it a cruise ship would have been overblown. Continuing the mini refit: broken dodger, replacing the old gas stove with an induction cooker... After Jamie's parents left the holiday was over, and with a leaving deadline looming we still had one or two jobs to complete before heading to Sumatra. And we wondered if our BRAND NEW multi-coloured Code 0 coming all the way from Sri Lanka would arrive on time! At Krabi Boat Lagoon, we assembled the old team: Ton joined us for some boat-carpenter-wizardry, Lek knocked up some seamless stainless steel work, and Sombat (now recovered from being blown up on a motor boat) got to grips with the new electrics. After sailing in pretty tough Cape Verde conditions, we find refuge in a bay of the uninhabited island of Santa Luzia. The island is a Nature Reserve. It is the forbidden island of the archipelago. We did not know it was forbidden to visit until we were approached by officials in a small motorboat. The day before we had taken a stroll around the deserted island which is a virtual desert island. After a first trail at very little wind we now sail the 70 miles behind the Wingaker to Malta. The true wind starts at 10 knots dead downwind and both increases and turns gradually during the day so we have plenty of time to get used to the handling of the new sail.

Dernière ile du Cap Vert que nous visiterons avant le grand saut pour la transatlantique. Ici, nous ferons une grande randonnée au cratère de Cova qui est devenu un grand espace de cultures. Le chemin a été très rude car nous l'avons fait en descente mais les paysages y sont grandioses ce qui nous a fait oublier la difficulté.
