Searching for the Fishermen that answered our Mayday | 84 | Beau and Brandy Sailing We are taking a break from all the boat work to search for the fishermen that answered our Mayday! We know that they are here in Grenada, in the Carenage in St George. But first our dinghy is trying to sink on us, so Beau tries his best to fix it. Until then, our friends, Rick and Lara, from Mai Tai lend us their kayak. Again our sailing community comes through for us! The search for the fishermen is just a bus ride away, so we hop on one of the local buses and head out there. Short ride later and we are on the search. We stop and ask several boats around to see if they can direct us to where we can find Amenti, which is the name of the boat that rescued us. Making the same mistake twice... https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we arrive to the island of Simeulue in Indonesia. The island is governed by Sharia law and as we know this is the law of the qaran, we do not know what it means for tourists. To be on the safe side Bonita is well covered on arrival not to offend anyone. This anchorage sucks. Even though the bay is long, skinny, shallow and with a sand bottom, it is open to the South West and the Indian Ocean. Meaning any swell goes directly into the bay. To combat the roll, we set a stern anchor... Yosh goes surfing up the point one afternoon and whilst in the waves, noticed Flubber drifting on pass. Whats all this about? The anchor had come off the rode... Losing one anchor, sure it happens. Losing 2 anchors in 2 days... Come On! Losing our anchor twice is un heard of! With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra where we are living the island life and chasing the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we are returning to Thailand in the coming months and then taking the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! Season 5 Episode 96 - Pushing out into the Pacific Ocean and finding safe harbor in La Push On this weeks episode we depart Neah Bay and beat into the Pacific Ocean at night. Just after sunrise our electrical system begin to fail. With the voltmeter spiking and the relays screaming we come about and point for the La Push, Washington and are escorted over the bar by the U.S. Coast Guard Station Quillayute River ( https://www.facebook.com/uscoastguardstationquillayuteriver ) We would like to thank the Coast Guard Crews for assisting us! Once safely tied up and after a much needed nap Camille and myself head out to explore the incredible beaches of La Push with its massive trees washed ashore and endless driftwood. We also flew the drone out to get a view of this remarkable coastline from the sky. This new season follows James and Camille on a delivery onboard a 74ft Power Yacht they were hired to crew on under then command of Captain Dave Stovall. As nossas emoções da Refeno 2019 começaram bem antes da largada. o Barba Negra garrou pela primeira vez nos fazendo acordar com um susto gigante no meio da noite. Passado o susto e com uma noite mal dormida, lá fomos nós três para a largada! Acho que foi nesse momento que nós percebemos o quanto a nossa tripulação era pequena. Passaram vários veleiros com 6, 10, 12 pessoas... e nós três com a cara e a coragem! Largamos com o checkin mais emocionante da vida, passando por uma multidão no Marco Zero! Foi lindo! Ouvir no alto falante o Barba Negra ser anunciado foi uma experiência única na vida! Mas na despedida de Recife e saída para o mar pegamos vários pirajás e esquecemos de comer! Foi uma dura negociação com meu estômago! Poucas horas depois da largada o Leo avisou pelo VHF "galera, temos um CB violento a caminho". Em um modo cruzeirista, rizaríamos as velas e seguiríamos rizado, mas queríamos regatear, então foi sobe vela, desce vela a noite toda. O vendo forte fez com que o Sergio tivesse que timonear muito tempo seguido. No segundo dia o tempo melhorou bem, mas à noite ainda tivemos muito trabalho com os pirajás. Mas a chegada não poderia ser mais emocionante ao avistar Noronha eu chorei, fiquei muito emocionada! Mas acabei sem tempo de curtir muito com o Strega surgindo do nada bem na nossa frente na Ponta da Sapata. Capitão ligou o modo regata e botou todo mundo para trabalhar!

Nachdem wir das Boot auf Mallorca aus dem Wasser geholt haben, wird es Zeit, unser Unterwasserschiff zu bearbeiten. Unser CopperCoat gehört angeschliffen - was für eine Sch***-Arbeit! Daraufhin gönnen wir uns ein Mietauto, um ein bisschen mehr von Mallorca kennenzulernen als die Marina in El Arenal. Dann wird es jedoch höchste Zeit, abzuhauen und weiterzufahren Richtung Westen. Der Winter sitzt uns quasi im Nacken und mit den Herbststürmen im Mittelmeer ist nicht zu spaßen!
