In this episode a HOT new Mermaid from Sweden joins me for 3 weeks of sailing. We start off with a nice swim before we go hiking on the top of Poros, - or Pornos as "Inga from Sweden" called the island. It turned out she had fun on this island before as a crew member of the Greek yacht week 2 years ago. While provisioning we experience loss of electricity which turns out is beeing caused by a deadly helicopter crash on Poros. We are Sailing to Hydra where Mirre is showing me the Sunset restaurant and we go by Leonard Cohen's house. We prepare for and endure Hurricane Dorian's approach while in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. We thought we were far enough North but Dorian came in with some clout. We prepared Hangtime in a secure location; took down the jib, lashed the main and tied her tight with multiple lines and fenders. Cette vidéo traite du Mahé 36, c'est rock & roll, Il faut remonter le vent. En prenant le canal des Saintes, direction Nord-Sud nous avons eu un vent constant de 20 - 22 noeuds. Le problème, l'alizé était un peu trop de face, notre catamaran refusait dans la passe... A l'arrivée, nous avons comme des "Robinson", profité d'une île déserte "l'ilet à Cabrits". Pour conclure, île charmante, très bons moments sur ce mouillage. Cath pat.

Although the wall section on this site is short, the sloping reef of the rest of the site is beautiful with amazing sponges of all shapes, sizes and color. Marine life is abundant, including macro life, if you are able to pause for a moment in the current. On a side note, if you are on liveaboard in the area, during your service interval, keep an eye out for the black tip reef sharks that will circle your boat.
