This episode, Robbie leaves us and sails back to Australia with his parents on a cruise ship. The Love family fly in for a quick holiday and we visit Baie Ue where we explore a waterfall that cascades off the cliff directly into the sea. We sail south past Isle Quen and have a snorkel before the holiday comes to and end all too quickly and the Loves fly home. With just the 3 of us now, we check out the Toho 2. The Toho was a tuna fishing boat 45 metres long that was sunk on the 7th August 1996. It is now a home for a myriad of fish.

French Wally 100 Dark Shadow finished the 2019 RORC Transatlantic Race on Friday 6th December in an elapsed time of 13 days 9 hours 11 mins and 3 secs. Dark Shadow was sailed by Andre Auberton-Herve (FRA) and skippered by Yerin Hobson (AUS). "I did the transat almost 12 years ago with the almost the same team. This time it was great, but we had tricky winds and still enjoyed it," commented Andre Auberton-Herve. "Racing with the RORC means great organisation at the departure and a great reception here. The transat was perfect, we loved it - Dark Shadow was flying! We reached 25 knots finally and that was very nice. It was great to put the team back together - The Expendables Transat!"

Do you want to know how to install a boat cleat the proper way? If so, tune in for this short video that shows each step to doing so. It is really not that hard. In General, the steps are as follows: - Find the location that works for the cleat, and allows access to the backside of the location. - Mark the location of each of the screws and ensure that you are using stainless steel fastening hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, and lock washers) - Drill a pilot hole for each bolt, then using the correct size bit, drill the hole for the bolt (The pilot hole allows you to avoid the bit "walking" out of place. - Bed the hardware using the sealant of your choice. My preference is Boat Life Life Seal for above the water line bedding. It is flexible and still adheres well but best of all, it will come off unlike 3M 5200 which should be used only for below the water bedding (in my opinion) Boat Life Link on amazon with free shipping - https://amzn.to/2RmYwCd - Insert the bolts and finger tight until the LifeSeal begins to skin over. Put at least a 1" diameter backing stainless steel washer on each bolt (bigger if there is enough room and certainly larger if this is a very large cleat on a large boat. I like to have the backing plate at LEAST 4 times the diameter of the Bolt width. - Tighten all bolts and clean up the BoatLife with a damp cloth being careful not to leave any on the gel coat as it is much harder to get off later. A gente foi um pouco desacreditado para Cabedelo. Claro que João Pessoa parecia atrativo, mas Cebedelo? Por que, meu Deus? Já chegamos em menor número do que a Refeno e havia um mês de cortesia no Iate Clube da Paraíba para ficarmos após a Refeno. Ah! Que grata surpresa! A receptividade de Luisinho, o comodoro do Iate Clube não poderia ser melhor! Um querido!!! Aliás, o povo paraibano é um povo diferente... todo mundo absurdamente amável! Foram incontáveis churrascos e festas no clube. Algumas eu perdi porque fui para São Paulo passar 2o dias com minha sobrinha Anna. A gente tem que aproveitar que está perto para curtir ao máximo a família, depois, só Deus sabe... Ao lado do Iate Clube tinha o Por do Sol da Praia do Jacaré, onde o Jurandy tocava todo dia o Bolero de Ravel. Pra mim foi o máximo nos poucos dias em que ficamos! Já para o Sergio que ficou 30 dias o repertório de músicas repetido diariamente (tema do Ayrton Senna, Bolero de Ravel e Amigos para Sempre entre outras) ficava um pouco maçante... rs De qualquer forma a cidade é surpreendente! Praias lindas, comida maravilhosa, comprinhas baratinhas e o melhor de tudo, um povo querido! Eu ganhei até um cafuné no meio da rua de uma senhora que queria me vender uma tiara! Eu AMEI Cabedelo! Voltarei com certeza!!!

Sadly this trip had to be called off due to the corona virus cancelling aboriginal land permits and the closure of the NT and SA borders. We plan tol try again in the next 24 to 48 months. Just some of the preparations for our Kimberleys trip sailing from Darwin to Derby. A trip of around 1000 nautical miles by sea there is a lot to plan and think about to make the trip a successful one. I cover some of the bigger issues in this video in the hope it may give some insight to anyone else thinking of a similar trip. Of course there will be a series of videos about the trip once its done.
