We put the sails up for the first time and head off to explore Moreton Bay. After a couple of urgent boat jobs we catch some squid and cook them up on the BBQ. On arrival at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, they were interviewed about their experience by RORC Race Reporter, Louay Habib. “That was quite an adventure,” commented Skipper, Andy Lis. “Besides myself, this is the first time in the Caribbean for the rest of the crew. The most memorable moment for me was the boat flying through a squall - it was bucketing with rain and the sea went from a 4 metre swell to nothing, with the breeze pumping.”

Grinders Coffee SOLAS Big Boat Challenge is the huge harbour battle before the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Wild Oats XI, Black Jack, SHK Scallywag, InfoTrack and Naval Group will compete in the sprint around the harbour, raising funds for the CYCA Safety of Life at Sea Trusts.

They finished 5th overall in the Hyundai NZ 49er World Championships - here is Logan Dunning Beck and Oscar Gunn giving a wrap up of their regatta.

They didn't have their best regatta but Kiwi 49erFX duo Alex Maloney and Molly Meech said there are "a lot of exciting things to look forward to." Great attitude ladies!

According to the charts, the bridge is supposed to have 65 feet of clearance at mean low tide. What the heck does that even mean? In any event, we have learned while trucking that not all clearances are to be trusted. We also wanted to run some old gas out of the dinghy tank. We also wanted to check out some dolphins. So we did Dinghy Dolphin Discovery Day. We saw a bridge, birds, fishermen, and yes, three dolphins! No video on the dolphins, though.
