Join Peter and Tom sailing California, Mexico and the Sea of Cortez! In this episode we explore San Miguel Island, one of the most remote outposts of the US National Parks Service, and sail on to Santa Cruz Island, nearly catching fire on the way! Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico and sail around the world! It can feel lonely, left out & down right depressing just going through our daily routines & catching any spare time the kids would have for us. Well, we decided to do something about that, we set off on a journey around Australia in our RV until karma had other plans. Our lives took a different direction after this, which allowed us to grab a lifetime dream that we didn’t think was ever possible but in reality, it was. Please join two boomers as we embark on our new chapter & how we manage life & family from our MacIntosh 47’ sailboat heading home to Australia.
WERDE TEIL DER CREW - also dran bleiben und Abo-Button klicken, Klingel anstellen 🤙🏼

I had a lovely sailing at our Sailstar sailing centre at Tenerife, December 31st, 2019. Worked with two GoPro cameras, one at the stern and one in the mast looking down. Cool stuff this GoPro! The dinghy is a RS Aero, rig 7. Wind speed 8-12 knots. You can see Teide in some of the backgrounds.

In this video I discuss the refit underway of our 1983 Moody 34 sailboat. I break down the three (3) scenarios that the boat encounters in order to identify what each function requires in the way of refit. These three (3) areas are: 1.) the boat at anchor (what does it need to anchor safely & enjoyably?) 2.) the boat in a Marina (what does it need to live in a Marina enjoyably?) 3.) Cruising enroute across distance (what does this boat need to voyage more effectively and safely?) We hope you enjoy it! Royal Caribbean has added The Perfect Storm water slides to the newly amplified Oasis of the Seas. Major changes to the pool deck had to be made to accommodate the new water tanks and pumps needed to power The Perfect Storm. The Perfect Storm water slides consist of 3 slides: Supercell (the green and blue bowl) and Cyclone/Typhoon (the racer slides). In order to ride, you must be at least 48 inches and less than 300lbs. Our four kids loved these slides and wore themselves out climbing the stairs and riding them over and over! The Perfect Storm really is the perfect addition to Oasis of the Seas. ============================================= Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/caskeycruising Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/caskeycruising

MY START è un prodotto nuovo, esclusivo, rigorosamente Atalanta style e completamente made in Italy.
◦ https://angelsailing.gr/ ◦ ► our Santorini boat tours https://angelsailing.gr/santorini-boat-tours/ Angel Sailing Santorini is a boat tour company that offers a real Santorini sailing cruise experience of the unique caldera of Santorini. The company was founded by the merchant marine’s captain and skipper George, who after a 15-year duty in oceangoing ships, moved towards sailing cruises! In fact, he actually fulfilled one of his childhood dreams, since from the age of 6 he started enjoying life with the sea. What is also unique about us and our Sailing Tours is the fact that the crew consists of the captain and owner of the sailing yacht, his brother who is also a sailor himself and a national champion of FINN, and their father, former sailor and in charge of the meals. In other words, “Angel Sailing” is a family affair, making sure that you will have the time of your life! An audience cam clip of me singing in perhaps one of the more unusual venues that singing has taken me to......The Royal Court Theatre inside the beautiful Queen Victoria Cruise Ship. Yes! These ships are so huge they actually have a wonderful theatre inside them. This is a little clip of a medley from one of the favourite musicals ‘Phantom of The Opera’. Singing here with the Royal Court Theatre Orchestra, while doing my best to stay upright as the ship sways!

Seatramp without the real captain? Finally it's time for Mario to leave to America to help a friend of us who got hit by a lightning a few months ago and really needs help to repair the electrical damage. After a long discussion we decided that Mario wil fly over to help him and I did not want to stay in that time in Shelter Bay Marina, I prefered to be on anchor alone on the San Blas Islands. Call me stupid or brave, after what happened to us in Panama, but I really don't like marinas and need my morning swim! So join me in the first solo episode when I try to glue our dinghy, fight with the generator and meet another cool Sailor, @sailingwiththomas and his crew on Chichime. A start of a great friendship! After clearing out of Vanuatu we take on the 220 mile passage to the Solomon Islands. We experience a sea, which makes it uncomfortable aboard, added to that, electric and engine failure. Arriving late in the afternoon at the island of Santa Cruz in the Solomon Islands, we make the decision to heave to, off the island until daybreak until we have a clear view of reefs and enter through Graciosa Bay and head for Shaw Point to await clearance into the country, which needs to be made at Lata, across the bay. The clearance into The Solomon Islands takes a frustrating 5 days. In the meantime we are entertained by the local people from the college at Shaw Point , plus the Rugby World Cup Final, a disappointing outcome but how many people go to these lengths to watch a major sporting event in such isolated places.Santa Cruz used to be called The Outer Eastern Province in the Solomon Islands because it was so remote

Ahoy Mateys, another year is going to end. 2019 was loaded with work for us. ZERO got a lot of attention and spend most of the time high and dry in the boatyard where we changed a lot. She's practically a new boat now. Fay finished her studies and got her bachelor degree now so the coming and leaving will end and 2020 has a lot to offer for us.. and you. We're going to upload videos again. Yeah! And instagram the heck out of our life to give you guys more input about the floating life we live. But even we didn't do much recently we were so stoked of your ongoing support. Most of you were asking about our whereabouts and what's going on and anytime you did our hearts opened and we could forget about the stress and hassle of the daily routine for a moment. So thank you very much and a huge salty hug to all our patrons who patiently waited, we're so grateful for your support and cant wait to get back in producing more episodes for you. We wish you a very happy new year and hope you can look back to a ton of good memories from 2019.. Aloha 🤙 Fay & Christian & Patch

It is always an adventure taking a group of students on a school trip, but this was no "typical" trip. The purpose of this journey was to accompany a group of 9 students to their Oxford and Cambridge interviews in London; this was the culmination of many years of hard work by the students and teachers, and support from their parents. And, it was the end of three months of intense preparation for admissions exams and interviews. Somehow, the students were resilient through it all. In January 2020, they will learn of their fate - to be an Oxbridge student or not to be. Thankfully, every one of them have top notch 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th choice options! These are easily the best students in the world and a delight to get to know over the course of 4 years. We enjoyed the time together in London - lots of laughs, memories built, and unique experiences! #china #qingdao #covid19 #coronavirus #quarantine #quarantinelife #london #oxford #cambridge #interviews NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? If you wish to support our video efforts, all we ask is that you SUBSCRIBE, give a THUMBS UP, SHARE our videos with your friends, AND COMMENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US MORE DEEPLY? 2019 has been an incredible year for Live Sail Die, and it's all thanks to you - the sailors. We could count how many plane trips, kilometers travelled etc, however that means nothing without the sailors, volunteers, officials, coaches, supporters, parents and everyone who makes it possible for someone to get onto the water. So THANK YOU for making 2019 one to remember for the Live Sail Die team. We look forward to seeing you on countless startlines in 2020!

Our first video of 2020 is a real New Year cracker. She's Nancy Blackett, a fantastic 1931 David Hillyard with a literary history to die for. Famous author, Arthur Ransome, once owner her. He also made her a star in his book 'We didn't mean to go to Sea'. We spent a day in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight with Nancy before joining her at her east coast home. Owner Peter Willis and crew pour their hearts out for the full Nancy Blackett story. This is one not to miss. As always, copyright Bob Aylott, MCB. Extra pictures, copyright Peter Willis. Music is from Dave Houghton and Pip De Stre Croix. Please share and if you haven't subscribed - click the button for free video up-dates. And a big thanks to our 3,8 million viewers - keep watching and lets make 2020 a great year.
SHK Scallywag enjoyed a fine performance in this year's race, only being pipped into fourth place in the last few seconds by Wild Oats XI. As you will see David Witt considers anything less than winning is insufficient.
It was good to see Grant Warrington returning to the super maxi scene to team up with David Witt. He gives us some insights into what’s changed in this aspect f sailing since the days he raced Wild Thing to Hobart in the early 2000’s.
It was a spectacular sight on the Derwent River on Saturday morning, with five super maxis finishing within two hours of each other. Jim Cooney and Samantha Grant’s Comanche took Line honours with Christian Beck’s InfoTrack trailing by 44 minutes. A further 58 minutes behind but within view, The Oatley family’s Wild Oats XI and Seng Huang Lee’s Scallywag were racing neck-and-neck right up until the finish line. Wild Oats XI prevailed in that battle, pipping Scallywag on the line by a mere 38 seconds. Tracking just behind this arm wrestle was Black Jack, finishing a further 14 minutes later.
Barely had Comanche’s dockside celebrations commenced for her Line Honours win when a four way super maxi battle on the Derwent River could be seen in the background, playing out between InfoTrack, Wild Oats XI, Scallywag and Black Jack, the four yachts finished in that order.
Komatsu Azzurro had another fine race south taking out first place in IRC Division 7. Shane Kearns tells us something of their race.
With only a handful of boats still at sea on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, Crosbie Lorimer and Wendi Lanham wrap up coverage of the 75th Rolex Sydney Hobart with a selection of the race’s highlights and a look ahead to some of the changes we can expect in next year’s race.

World under sail, episode 20. After an unpleasant 600-mile trip from the Azores to Madeira, we enjoy the flower island and continue sailing to Porto Santo, where we experience a great Columbus Festival ...
