In this episode, Eddie crews and we sail Keeldragger to Newport Beach. Winds are light, but we manage to motor sail. One grey whale sighting along the way. We anchored at the cruiser anchorage off Lido Island. The anchorage was a big busy--a large raft of patriotic motor boats and a sailboat race a few feet away. We discovrered the tank on the dinghy outboard holds a little less gas than we needed. Next time we'll figure out the washdown pump for the anchor.. .. This weeks episode we say goodbye suburbia and head back to boat life! After 8 weeks back in sunny Queensland we pack up our worldly possessions (again) and haul them half way around the world back to beautiful boat life and all the adventures that come with it! Were usually big fans of cheap and cheerful travel and whilst this time was no exception we did take the opportunity to slow down the pace a little and make a few stops along the way. We raced down to Waikiki beach on Honolulu, Hawaii. We overnighted (and almost froze to death) in New York (NYC) after an exhausting stomp through manhattan to get from JFK to Newark airport. then we cruised through Miami en-route to Grenada. We overnighted not far from the airport in Grenada so that we would arrive at the boat the next morning fresh and ready to work. We had no idea what we were walking into. After 3 long days on the road we finally made it back to our floating home, the Millennial Falcon. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
