This week we, Well we didn't do a whole lot because we are all sheltering in place during this dang pandemic. It is just crazy. I still can't believe and never thought I would see a time when we had stores shut down for months at a time. It is the same with us, but it is giving us time to get some work done on the boat such as mapping out the DC Distribution system and getting the alternator charging the correct way. We also got to reminisce about some wonderful times in Jamaica and make a local Jamaican drink and virtually visit the beach bars there. Göteborg ist eine tolle Stadt mit sehr vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten aber auch immer wieder mal schöne Parks, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Nach ein paar Tagen ging es weiter Richtung Trollhättankanal. We are quarantining in the Bahamas while the coronavirus pandemic keeps the world on lock-down. This is Part 2 of our adventures in the Berry Islands. Join us as we leave Bonds Cay and head to Hoffman's Cay. On the way we stop to dive, or "blow some bubbles", as the Captain likes to say. But before we do, a quick check of the anchor proves to be a delicious decision. James swims out to check its location and a lobster makes his fateful appearance. It's the last day for lobster season, so the Captain uses his Hawaiin Sling to catch the beast for dinner. Check out his tips for de-veining and prepping caribbean lobster. Next, we navigate to Hoffman's Cay through the shallow waters at the cut at Fowl Cay. Fortunately for us, it was a bright shiny day which made it easy to see the best path for Lost Cat to take. The next morning at Hoffman's Cay, we take the dinghy to shore and hike to the Blue Hole. We had the place to ourselves and it was AWESOME! Thanks for joining us! On the 17th of April 2020 we will leave marina Port Ghalib in Egypt, heading south towards Sudan and Djibouti and finally Maldives. We will take it easy, enjoy the beautiful reefs of the red sea and keep an eye on the corona regulations of the ports we pass. Since many countries are closed we don't know where we will be allowed to go on land again, but we can survive 4 month without seeing anybody :) This journey is only a small part of our trip that started 2 years ago. We got the sailing- skills on our friends yacht 'Shalom' when we joined them on a trip from the Netherlands to Spain. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtDOpi7ydzdcRK1H7fEiQFQ . In Spain we decided to go with our own boat, and in no time we were the happy owners of 'Messenger'. We left may 2018 and started vlogging from the beginning, we made 15 minute video's of our adventures, the nature and the many special people we met. We cooperated with OM to visit their projects and film them on our way. Since 19 of March we started with a daily vlog due to the corona situation. We plan to keep doing this the coming months. After a rolly start down to the Exumas, we're off to Rock Sound to hide out from the upcoming northerly mini-storm. We leave Highbourne Cay and have a perfect sail across the Exuma Sound trying our luck fishing for something big! We meet new friends (@WildlyIntrepid ), pre corona, and explore some awesome caves:D We couldn't have been luckier to find our buddy boat at this time, not knowing what was coming and how the world would change... Writing this, on April 4th, 2020 - we are still with them, self-quarantined together, and consider them family. Thank you Wildy Intrepid (!!!
