This video is about the SmartMi humidifier from Xiaomi. We used the Venta LW45 for the past couple of years, but when it broke down, I was looking at the Xiaomi humidifier. It is half the size of the Venta, but 1/4 of the price. At this price, it has an app and is much more "smart device" then the Venta. I plan to couple these devices to Homey from Athom. My central hub for my home automation. Note : This is not a sponsored product.

Vamos velejar?

Yess we are doing a GIVEAWAY!! Win a full week on board of Messenger for 2 persons. check the details in/under Vlog 25 In Today's vlog Hermen tries the Grandma's style.. :) to be well prepared we need to find a way to take more vegetables on board. On the 17th of April 2020 we will leave marina Port Ghalib in Egypt, heading south towards Sudan and Djibouti and finally Maldives. We will take it easy, enjoy the beautiful reefs of the red sea and keep an eye on the corona regulations of the ports we pass. Since many countries are closed we don't know where we will be allowed to go on land again, but we can survive 4 month without seeing anybody :) This journey is only a small part of our trip that started 2 years ago. We got the sailing- skills on our friends yacht 'Shalom' when we joined them on a trip from the Netherlands to Spain. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtDOpi7ydzdcRK1H7fEiQFQ . In Spain we decided to go with our own boat, and in no time we were the happy owners of 'Messenger'. We left may 2018 and started vlogging from the beginning, we made 15 minute video's of our adventures, the nature and the many special people we met. We cooperated with OM to visit their projects and film them on our way. Since 19 of March we started with a daily vlog due to the corona situation. We plan to keep doing this the coming months. The Wakatobi National Park, a UNESCO Marine Biosphere Reserve, was named by combining the first letters of names of four main islands in the chain. Wakatobi is recognized as having the highest number of coral and fish species found anywhere on the planet and has a truly amazing house reef easily accessed from the resort's pier. Because of it's remote location, we can only access the area via a private charter flight from Bali. This in turn maintained that we can always snorkel in peace!

Explore some of the richest and most diverse marine habitats on the planet with a stay at Misool Eco Resort. Located on an idyllic island in the far fringes of Indonesia, Misool is a paradise brimming with pristine coral reefs and more exotic marine life that you possibly count in a single trip. The resort is exceptionally comfortable and given it's remote location you can relax and snorkel in absolute peace. Because of the amazing conservation efforts taken on by the resort, there is a huge surge in the marine life's population and you can witness it on the doorsteps of the resort with their juvenile black tip reef shark nursery which has naturally occurred.

Two guys buy a €3000, 9 meter, old steel sailingboat from 1969 and try to sail it from Amsterdam to Ibiza in winter. No experience, no plotter, just a phone. Two best friends learning to sail along the way. Good times, scared times, storms, dolphins, this is the real sailingadventure, this is following your dreams. For everyone doubting if they can learn to sail this story shows that you can do and learn anything. That there are no problems just challenges and you don’t need an expensive boat to start. Motivating and uplifting sailingadventure keeping you on the tip of your seat every minute. Enjoy and don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe 🤙

Well now we get to sail out of Beaufort's narrow, winding, current-swept inlet. We need a generally northerly wind to sail out, but then, as we are turning to the northeast, we need the winds to shift southerly for us. It's a tall order, admittedly. But it actually happens, and the good ship goes scudding around Cape Hatteras while showing her shapely stern to another sailing yacht a good deal of the time ... Yey!! The moment has arrived! We are assembling our mast!! We are soooo happy!! What we couldn't imagine is the amount of decisions we need to make in every single step of the process. But, slowly it's gaining shape and our boat is almost looking like a sailboat again. 😍⛵️ We’re Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple that have bought a 44ft steel sailboat (Dinieper Tropic 1200) that was abandoned on the hard for 22 years in Guarujá, Brazil. We are on the mission of refitting her to travel the world taking our house with us! Before we found our dream boat we had another cool project: we were building our Tiny Shipping Container House by ourselves, without any prior experience to be our land base in our hometown, Florianópolis (Brazil). Flying Our NEW A-Symmetrical Spinnaker for the FIRST time! It looks like a Unicorn farted! https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, our boat yard days are behind us and Nandji is launched back into the drink. At this time of the year, we still had massive sailing plans for 2020. With majority of the boat work completed, we took a few days to relax at the nearest islands before we made our way from Krabi province, Thailand across Phang Na bay to Phuket. We had been waiting for this day for a while as the forecast was light breezes and dead down wind. Perfect weather to raise our first sail for the year, what better way to do it than with our NEW spinnaker! We asked Aaron from Kore sails to make it colourful and with Bonita in charge of colour schemes, He did not disappoint! To quote Bonita "It looks like a Unicorn Farted!" What better name for our new sail than Unicorn Fart! The future was looking bright and the Froth levels were high in this one! YEW! KORE SAILS If you would like some sails from Aaron at Kore Sails, send him an email and check out his website! http://koresails.com.au/ With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off from Australia sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji girl around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World! In this episode, we set about finishing up our boat work in Spice Island Marina Boat Yard. Adam wraps up the installation of the Bruntons H5 Autoprop and does a thorough test to make sure that the new propeller is fitted well. Meanwhile, Khiara gives the hull a final coat of black making Millie look like a new lady! Our last job on the list before getting back in the water was a quick grease of the seacocks below the waterline and then we should have been ready to splash... except that would have been too easy! One troublesome seacock put a spanner in the works as we noticed that both the inside and the outside of the seacock were turning in the hole... an obvious sign that the fitting was loose and if we had of gone back in the water, seawater would leak straight into our boat! So out the seacock came and our splash date came and went... we were stuck in the yard with a hole in our boat... again! We spent the next few days educating ourselves about the best seacock to replace it with and how to fit it and finally, fitting it and hoping and praying that it wouldn't leak when we finally splashed! A few days later, the yard asked if we wanted to splash that very day... in fact with just an hour's notice! One frantic hour later, the Millennial Falcon was being hoisted into slings as we watched nervously, hoping that she would firstly move, after having installed the new propeller, and secondly, that she wouldn't have any leaks after having installed the new seacock. Just 9 days of being in the boatyard and we were back in the water...a record for us despite our brief delay. After doing a few checks and ensuring we didn't have any new leaks, we headed out to anchor to get ready to... sit and wait! SEASON 6 / The Haul Out : Episode #122 : Getting the shaft.... out Hello Friends, On this weeks episode we hire the Ventura Harbor Boat Yard to help us pull out our prop shaft so we can change the cutlass bearing and remove my archnemesis THE PACKING NUT. BUT FIRST!!!!!! Our high-water alarm goes off due to heavy rains and all the plumbing on the boat being removed for the new seacocks to go in 😂 The Yard sent Ernie over (We love this guy, super funny and super smart) and he applied MAP gas to the shaft coupler and kept working it with a slide hammer until we finally got it free and out of the boat. then came a shocking discovery..... The Windward Passage is a notoriously bad place to go sailing, especially when the winds are up. We had a mild forecast but the winds were double what we expected. And of course, it happened on a moonless night where it got really, really dark. With the winds approaching 35 knots we exceeded our reefing plan for the Outremer and striped down to a sliver of Genoa. We were worried it would get stronger, and it did. By around 40 knots we took down all sail and were sailing Bare Poles - meaning there was no sail up at all - and the boat was being pushed along using only the natural windage of the boat and poles as "sails." We were still going 6.5 knots, which is very safe and comfortable. Our peak wind speed was 42 knots. Should we be freaking out? No. Actually. The boat was a champ. Super smooth and confident in extreme sea conditions. We hate how this stuff always seem to come at night, but the Outremer held her own and proved yet again why she is such an incredible bluewater vessel. POSTING DAILY ON SOCIAL: https://www.instagram.com/the_sailing_family/ https://www.facebook.com/the-sailing-family-voyage/ ----------------- ABOUT US: Welcome aboard. We are a family of five sailing around the world on our "dream boat," a performance catamaran named "Archer." Ten years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named "Honeymoon" halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and friends via YouTube, and by happenstance created one of the first sailing channels. But more than anything, we realized what an incredible experience that first trip was and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with kids. We want to share with them the importance of taking time to be with family. To show them a world outside of the one they grew up in. We want them to appreciate how lucky we are to experience (and to care for) the natural beauty of this world. But mostly we want to spend time with our kids during these formative years and create lasting memories as a family. That's why we are sharing our videos weekly - thanks for watching! OUR BOAT is a Ferrari red Outremer 51 performance cruising catamaran. We chose this boat as it has been specifically designed for the purpose of bluewater sailing. It was designed and built to withstand the stress of sailing multiple times around the world safely and in comfort. It's also a speed demon, which is important when you want to cover large distances of water before the weather changes. Lastly, it's backed by the manufacturer with outstanding customer service and aftermarket support, so we believe she will hold her value well. And, she's nice on the eyes too. OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and to French Polynesia. We had a mooring break on us in Bora Bora, and after a lengthy repair we are now in New Zealand. We hoped to sail to Southeast Asia in 2020, but now all plans are up in the air. PLEASE COMMENT!: As a "family channel," we are required to actively monitor all comments, but we still want to hear from you. Tell us what you think! THANKS for watching all. Subscribe right now and never miss an episode!
