Dat is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling, voor je het weet lig je tegen een andere boot of de kant aan. We gaan anker op en laten even verderop het anker weer zakken. Later op de avond, eigenlijk in de nacht, komt er storm en onweer over. Spannend! Houdt het anker het nu wel? Verder in deze aflevering: hoe werkt dat eigenlijk: de zeilen laten zakken? Auf unserem Weg in die Heimat segeln wir von Grenaa nach Ballen auf der Insel Samsö. Eine an sich schöne Strecke, aber es gilt Obacht geben. Müssen wir doch eine vielbefahrene Fährstrecke kreuzen, auf der Katamaranfähren mit knapp 40Knoten verkehren. So einem Monster können wir dann auch nur knapp entrinnen und kommen mit dem Schrecken davon. Ist es wirklich so knapp? Überzeugt euch selbst! Viel Spaß beim Anschauen! On our way home we sail from Grenaa to Ballen on the island of Samsoe. A nice route in itself, but you have to be careful. We have to cross a busy ferry route on which catamaran ferries operate with almost 40 knots. We can barely escape such a monster and we were very scared. Is it really that close? Convince yourself! Sergey has a compressor and scuba diving geart so it was handy for the job. ===================== ABOUT ME Back in 2019 I decided I did not want to be a 9 to 5  type guy anymore.  I got fed up with this rat race like routine city life and I got hooked on the idea of sailing and living on a boat full time. But with 0 (zero) expirience  that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sneaky Good Assistant Coaching Hires for 2020 Each offseason, there are a number of new coaching hires. We always tend to put a ton of emphasis on the head coaches, which is fair, but I don’t feel as though we talk enough about assistant/coordinator hires. So what I did is found four assistant/coordinator hires that I believe will make a difference in 2020. Those hires are: Gary Kubiack (Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator) Pat Shurmur (Denver Broncos offensive coordinator) John DeFilippo (Chicago Bears quarterbacks coach) Jason Garrett (New York Giants offensive coordinator) These four assistants/coordinator hires are hires that once they were made back in the spring, I’ve had my eye on them. Time will tell, but as we sit today, I think these four coaches will have some sort of impact on their teams this year. NFL Week Two Rundown! Written by Conner Pack - Burrow makes NFL prime time debut on Thursday Night Football against Browns. In week one, Joe Burrow threw for 193-yards on 23-36 passing. Now, he did throw one interception, but he had the Bengals in a position to win the game late. Unfortunately for them it didn’t workout, but I’d say overall it was a positive start. Personally, I’m excited to kickback and see what he can do tonight against the Browns, who completely laid an egg in week one. - How do Eagles respond after disastrous week one as they take on Rams in week two? Week one was the tale of two half’s for the Philadelphia Eagles. They jumped out to a 17-0 lead but after that were out scored 27-0. Wentz had multiple turnovers and was sacked 8 times. It was ugly. Sunday, they take on the Rams who looked like a well oiled machine on Sunday night against the Cowboys. Luckily for the Eagles, right tackle Lane Johnson and running back Miles Sanders are scheduled to be return to action. Having them back should provide a spark (with Sanders) and stability (with Johnson). - Two teams that didn’t play as expected in week one (Colts & Vikings) face off in week two. Leading up to the season I was very high on both the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings. However, in week one, both came out and seemingly laid an egg. For Minnesota, they waited till the second half to start playing aggressive offensively and their defense just got dismantled. For Indianapolis, despite out gaining Jacksonville in total yards 445 to 241 they couldn’t close the deal in the red zone, they turned the ball over, and were atrocious on third down. Quarterback Philip Rivers also looked a bit uneasy at times. This Sunday, the Colts and Vikings will faceoff in a battle of 0-1 teams. Which team will separate themself and get on track? - Can Tom Brady and the Buccaneers bounce back from rough week one? Tom Terrific was not so terrific in his Tampa Bay debut. He threw 2 interceptions (one being a pick six), was sacked 3 times, and overall the offense just didnt look to be in-sync. Now as shaky as Brady looked, his big weapons wide receiver Mike Evans and tight end Rob Gronkowski were nowhere to be found. Together, Evans and Gronk combined for 3 catches for 13 yards. Those two have to produce more. This Sunday, the Buccaneers have their home opener against the Carolina Panthers, another division opponent. - Can Texans slow down Lamar Jackson and Ravens to avoid 0-2 start? If the Texans couldn’t slow down Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs, I really don’t see them slowing down Lamar and the Ravens. However, I do believe as far as quarterback matchups go, this should be a good one. As good as Deshaun Watson is, the loss of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins really showed last Thursday night. Watson’s going to have to work so magic if this Texans team wants to compete and keep this game close. Sailing Traditional Pacific CANOES Sailing Pacific Traditional CANOES Marshall Islands From Workshop to Water - Traditional Canoes of the Pacific Building and Sailing Traditional Pacific Canoes From WORKSHOP to WATER - Sailing Traditional CANOES of the Pacific - EP75 When an awesome traditionally designed pacific canoe anchors next to us at Eneco in Majuro, we post about it on our social media feeds. We are contacted by Henrik who is teaching a three month course on canoe building at W.A.M. (Waan Aelon in Majel) a boat and canoe building school in Majuro. We have seen a range of local canoes in our travels around the Pacific so we are pleasantly surprised to see a real passion and interest in building sailing craft in the Marshall Islands. The Three month course Henrik and Rob are teaching is focused on giving the students the skills and knowledge they need so they can go back to their homes on the outer islands and work on building their own sailing craft. Two designs were chosen to best represent a more modern approach to building - a Catamaran design loosely based on a Wharram Tiki 21 and an Australian design called a Harrproa. Henrik and Rob go for a fast sail across the Majuro lagoon to show off the suspension system on a traditional sailing canoe.
