Don't freak out.. I'm still fixing up my salvage sailing catamaran, another boat fixing video is almost finished and on they way. I had a chance to go for a nice overnight sail in Seawind 1190 sport. Small Craft Warning, we broke a dagger board - it was awesome. I thought I'd share what I do to avid seasickness. Nothing is worse than getting sea sick. In this episode, we start to get the “hang” of the planking! The first quick job is to put the Stopwaters into the centreline seams - softwood dowels which will swell up and prevent water ingress. Then the first Angelique Garboard is hung, and is quickly followed by more Topside Planks and Broads. Meanwhile, I jury-rig a circular saw to cut rolling bevels, which helps speed up cutting the planks out. The other guys get into the swing of riveting, with the help of a homemade “Dolly” (otherwise known as a “Bucking Iron”). EP: 151: My LIFE is in the HANDS of a 12 YEAR OLD 😱 With Wade (our young dashing crew member) back on the boat we got a lot of work done! We first made our stop southern ropes for extra lines in the bargain bin (BEST BING IN THE WORLD 😂) then got some braai spice to make our tuna beef jerky.. Then we did our adjustments we needed to make after we went out for our test sails. This included putting a stopped in the main sails track and adding blocks to our mast and deck fittings for our spinnaker as well as adding a winch for our spinnaker to make hoisting it so much easier. This is the story of our first weekend aboard The Esperance with the kids.
