Recorded in the middle of summer testing 24fps. No idea if I had an ND Filter on, nor do I remember any of the settings. Motion blur wasn't really top notch so the shutter speed was probably too fast. Not really happy with the footage quality, but the weather and scenery was nice enough. And so was the ride. This ones more chill, enjoying the weather and all.

Let's spend time on a small classic sailing boat with our Italian friends and will know how to prepare fried anchovy Ligurian style ("accuighe" how then call Italians) In this Ligurian recipe, fresh anchovies are cleaned and simply battered by dipping them in flour and then quickly fried in oil until golden brown on each side. It’s a method Irena’s shows easy authentic recipe, without the grated cheese or added to the egg and bread crumbs. And of course, Irene shares with us 3 more variants to prepare anchovies. Ideally, you should eat fried fresh anchovies while they’re still nice and hot. The only slightly tricky part of this simple dish is cleaning the anchovies, so we’ve shown you step-by-step how to make it. So be prepared to see the fish very close... It can be a bit awkward at first, as whole anchovies are small and slippery, but with a little practice, you’ll be churning them out in no time. Baked or fried, stuffed anchovies are part of Ligurian tradition. This is one of the symbols of Liguria and of the Ligurian sea. Its fishing period starts in early spring and finishes in late autumn. However, the high season is in the summer. How can you prepare accuighe? deep-fried breaded and fired baked with parsley and garlic cooked in a pan marinated with lemon juice and oil extra virgin salt-cured For anchovies recipe, it is better to get the freshest fish. How you can recognize fresh acciuga (anchovy): by the smell – it should be delicate and pleasant … if you smell ammonia, the fish is not fresh, by the color – scales and eyes have to be shiny, not opaque, by consistency – the fish has to be elastic and compact and the eye has to be bulging, How to clean anchovies Cut a head and pull it out. Open them lengthwise on the belly and remove the central spine and head. Keep the tail. Open them (almost like a book), wash, and dry them on a paper towel. Your anchovies are now ready! The benefits of anchovies This fish, which belongs to the bluefish category, has very high nutritional qualities. In fact, it contains good amounts of riboflavin, a B-vitamin that participates in numerous metabolic reactions, cellular respiration, and the oxidation of fatty acids and amino acids. Additionally, anchovies are a great source of various minerals, including calcium (important for bone and teeth health), iron (for the production of red blood cells), phosphorus (an ally for the kidneys and heart), and selenium (which helps the immune system). The only negative aspect of this fish is the fact that it can also contribute to higher cholesterol levels – so be sure to balance out how much of this kind of fat you consume! Over the past several months we've been documenting our journey of grinding and sanding to rid the boat of all the bad fiberglass. We then cleaned up the mess and laid hundreds of pounds of new fiberglass and epoxy both inside and outside the boat. Not to mention re drilling keel bolt holes, rebuilding the sump box, media blasting the keel, fairing and painting the keel...there's been a lot going on. An error in almost any one of the previous steps could mean that the keel doesn't line up just right and would require some serious work to fix it. Today we find out. EP 158: I was PETRIFIED! 😩 It was time to start exploring Walvis Bay.. the boys really wanted to go go kart racing so we stopped at a lil place just outside swakopmund that had go kart racing and camel riding.. (I've always wanted to properly ride a camel.. to see if it was anything like riding a horse.. i was very wrong 😂) We bought some sand boards to go boarding down these massive sand dunes. The boys handled it like pros but i was proper s**ting myself going down that dune and I only started from half way. It was super intimidating. We enjoyed an amazing Christmas day and had their boys do the Lady Africa Initiation. Wade had to shave his eyebrow (he was a wimp to cut his hair) but Luke said heck yes! We had Phil and Emma (SV Victoria; Alaska) and Brett and Mandy (SV Levenetea; Australia) join us on the sand boarding the following day. We all had so much fun! See ya next week!! Arriving in Antigua, we had no idea what to expect. Our hope was that they would let us have access to the island, but we were prepared for not being allowed to go to shore. Thankfully, the Antiguans could not have been more welcoming. We took a day to clear, get Ben his Covid test, and chill in the bay. None of us had slept well due to a squall that came in the night before and sent the boat in every direction. We took the time to walk around English Harbor and the UNESCO World Heritage Site and enjoy what we could access in the harbor. We also planned a trip to Green Island for the next day. On Friday, we took off for Green Island, a 10 NM trip up the East Coast. It took us a couple of hours to arrive and we used the time to practice anchoring, tying up to a mooring ball, and navigating in tight spaces with surrounding reefs. We also enjoyed some snorkeling and meeting Yuka and Francesco, owners of s/v Oroboro, a blog we have followed for the past few years! It was a wonderful overnight in a gorgeous bay. On Saturday, we hauled anchor and headed back to English Harbour, this time dropping anchor in Falmouth Bay. We also reviewed navigation bouys and making anchoring decisions independent of Ben, who was leaving us on Sunday. In the late afternoon, we picked up Lauren (SailingCita) from the dock. I met Lauren on the WOMEN WHO SAIL Facebook site. She had just posted that she completed a delivery to Antigua and was ready for more work. We offered her a place on our boat and free passage to Sint Maarten if she would help crew. So, we decided to have dinner so she could take a look at the boat and see if she wanted to join us on the passage. Welcome to “What is…” a series where we aim to answer complex questions around the 36th edition of the America’s Cup. In episode one we answer the question on everyone’s mind—what is foiling and how does it work? We caught up with North Sails sail designer, Burns Fallow, to get the full run down on how foiling works and learn how the sails work together with the [hyrdo]foils. He explained, “We have to try and set up our sails pretty much as you would in normal sailing, because you have to drag a hull through the water. Once we generate enough speed with the sails, and the amount of lift is equal or exceed the weight of the boat, it will pop out of the water. This all happens in a matter of seconds.” It's exactly like a Formula 1 car going from idling to flat-out racing. Could you imagine doing that? Unlike past America’s Cups, in this edition of the race, sailors, designers, and sail makers are all working together to design the perfect boat. It’s teamwork unlike anything we’ve seen in the past, and in our opinion, that's pretty darn cool.
