Rosane e Voka do veleiro Darwin agradecem toda contribuição recebida dos amigos, através da Vakinha, de mensagens e ações que nos fazem ter certeza de que não estamos sozinhos. Em minutos eles perderam tudo. Foram décadas de sonho e preparação. O querido veleiro Darwin era a casa deles há mais de 5 anos. No começo de Julho eles saíram de Paraty para finalmente subir a costa com o próprio barco. Mas uma rede com cabos brutalmente grossos, numa madrugada escura e um mar com muitas ondas, fizeram eles perder tudo em poucos minutos. Eles perderam muito mais que o barco, PERDERAM A CASA!! O que inclui todos os pertences, TUDO, além de equipamentos, alimentos (o barco estava carregado para travessia etc). Aposentados, quase tudo que eles tinham era o barco e o que estava dentro dele, e agora, no fundo do mar. O barco era a casa, e a (principal) fonte de renda. Agora a vida deles se resume em reconstrução, de um lar e de um sonho, que não para por aqui... Obrigado! Esse espírito de colaboração une a todos nós como uma família do mar. Pas le temps de se reposer, dès notre arrivée au mouillage de Curaçao l’action commence !! L’ancre d’un voilier décroche dans du 30-35 nœuds de vent au mouillage et il fonce droit sur nous. Il nous évite de peu, mais a ramassé notre chaîne dans le fond de l’eau avec son ancre, il tire maintenant les 13 tonnes d'Atypic !!! Puis, on met enfin pied à terre après 2 semaines sur l’eau pour faire notre entrée officielle dans le pays avant l’arrivée de mon garçon Loik et notre amie Martine! Who doesn't love leaving on a high note. This was one of the most epics summers! We totally jumped all in on a new adventure and rocked it. For those of you who have been following our journey you all ready know. But if your new here Josh and I decided this year we wanted to try something new and learn how to sail. So we bought a MacGregoer 26X in March and the fun began. We experienced so many highs and lows, ebbs and flows and our Honu has taught us so much. Nous contournons l'ile de Majorque par l'Est et faisons escale à Porto Christo. Nous profitons de l'eau transparente juste en face de la plage, nous visitons les grottes de Drach et pour la première fois depuis le début du voyage, nous avons une première blessure grave. Laurent se fait une luxation ouverte du pouce en rentrant au bateau avec le paddle. Heureusement, il a les bons réflexes, remet son pouce en place, rejoint le bateau et traite la blessure. Nous allons ensuite à l'hôpital local pour contrôler l'ensemble. Au final, il s'en sort bien. Mais nous ne sommes pas au bout de nos peines avec les responsables de la plage qui nous demande de partir de notre mouillage en urgence pour pouvoir installer les bouées délimitant les zones de baignades... Nous nous retrouvons finalement à Porto Colomb. We left Singapore in 2012 and sold everything we have in our apartment and start to backpack travelers for 6 months. Until one day we decided to settle our life in Denmark and start a family. We are blessed with twin boys name Sebastian and Daniel our adventures have just begun. These two lovely twins already flew more than 18 hrs when they are 3 months old. Installing LED off-road and fog lights, installing relays, and cleaning up wiring after years of redneck engineering. Wires had to be routed so that they wouldn't be pinched by the windshield. To prevent shorting of wires due to rubbing, wire loom should be correctly used. Installing relays for the high-amp LED lights close to the battery reduces the use of heavy gauge wire. The Jeep's dashboard was also customized with LED switches. You have to disconnect the roll bar from the windshield windshield, which you may first have to spray with PB Blaster. Do not forget to remove the visor from the part that goes over the roll bar. Even the screws that hold the soft dash to the dash frame had to come out. I would defiantly referance the video for this. After all the obstacles have been removed, wiring can begin. Make sure you have quality wire, loom, and some heat shrink butt connectors and connectors. The rest should be in the light kit. Use loom to protect your wires from rubbing on metal, which can lead to electrical shorts. The heat shrink butt connectors and connectors will prevent headache caused by corrosion. We have had a lot of fun tracing wires only to find that they were rusted connections You should not run high amp accessories from the fuse box to a switch and then the device. For the lights, relays will be required to switch on the heavy amps. In this Jeep, the best place for me to mount my relays was behind the battery, as I like to have them close to the battery. For now, we only need two spots. I think the third spot will be a usb outlet and maybe a DC outlet "cigarette lighter". Of course, if we do that, a future video it will be.
