We departed Las Hadas on a 130 mile overnight passage aiming for Zihuantanejo. Without much wind in the forecast, we weren't sure what to expect. Luckily the wind came through and so did the sea state! We enjoyed one of the best overnighters we've had in a long time! As you might expect, First Mate also had some thoughts to share underway, but luckily Bohemia's censorship team put a stop to them! Ha ha. We bezoeken Cambados in Ria de Arousa en verwennen onszelf met een heerlijke lunch als het wijnhuis dat we willen bezoeken gesloten blijkt te zijn. We zeilen dan verder de baai in om bij Vilagarcía de Arousa voor anker te gaan. Van daar is het gemakkelijk om met de trein naar Santiago de Compostela te reizen. Na een dag vol kerken, religie en toerisme zeilen we verder naar Illa de Ons voor een korte stop, zeilen dan diep de Ria de Pontevedra in om bij Illa de Timbo voor anker te gaan. De volgende dag zeilen we naar Illa de Cies, wederom prachtige, beschermde eilanden voor de Spaanse kust. Ook daar maken we vrienden met lokale vissers en krijgen een aantal scheermessen, een delicatesse. Jarenlang heb ik ervan gedroomd om zeilend te gaan waar de wind me brengt. In 2020 was het dan eindelijk zover en heb ik samen met Felia een prachtige reis gemaakt naar Scandinavië en de Baltische staten. Onze Eva, een Atlantic 43 uit 2007, is een aluminium zeiljacht met hefkiel en gebouwd en uitgerust voor reizen naar plaatsen die net achter de horizon liggen. Vanaf 2021 vaar ik met wisselende bemanning zuidwaarts. Ik vind het leuk om onze avonturen met jullie te delen. I had a short break away but back at the lake and the weather looks good for sailing. Its super windy today and it took all my effort to even wheel the trolley into the water with the wind pushing against the transom of the boat! Today was all about pushing myself to gain sailing experience in bad weather, so I stayed near base and did some circuits to build confidence, planing on waves at 5.3 KTS!! With confidence back I pushed on down the lake on an exhilarating sail towards Bala Camping beach where I stop for lunch. After lunch I turned towards home by Gybing but a sudden huge gust of wind had me capsized in an instant. The boat immediately went "turtle" which means it turned 180 degrees with the mast pointing directly down. I tried 5 times to right the boat but the wind just pushed it back over every time so I ended up sat on top and just waited for the current to push me into shore!! The upcycled boat hook goes back to its home and we find out that the old back up rudder still doesn't fit the boat!!! The pintle is too thick and we test the paddle to check it floats as it doesn't fit in the boat at the moment. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha. Navigando dalla Nuova Zelanda a Fiji ci siamo accorti di avere una grossa infiltrazione dalla boccola bassa del timone! Quindi appena alata la barca abbiamo messo in programma la rimozione del timone al fine capire quali pezzi del sistema delle boccole e guarnizioni vanno sostituite. La prima operazione dopo aver tolto i frenelli è quella di disinstallare il settore del timone ma aime su (NV) è stato incollato all'asse in carbonio con colla epossidica .
