Amanda and Geoff start their first sea day off by hitting the Lido Marketplace buffet before lounging poolside in the Tides Pool Area. After discovering the pool was out of order, they wander to the Dr. Seuss WaterWorks park to see if Amanda can muster up the courage to try the Cat and the Hat red and white waterslide. The duo continue their relaxing sea day by trying Mongolian Wok (JiJi's Kitchen's free lunch option). They look around the Lido Marketplace buffet once more before landing on some beautifully decorated Fourth of July themed desserts. The Mittens sign up for a tour at Guy's Pig & Anchor Brewhouse where they partake in a lot of learning and a lot of beer samples. Later that evening, the two checkout the IMAX and Thrill Theatre before trying two new cocktails at the Alchemy Bar. Amanda and Geoff find themselves back again in the casino (aka the Adult Arcade) before heading to dinner at Guy's Pig and Anchor and ending the night early. A short report from the DF65 DragonForce 2022 UK National Championships held by Eastbourne & District Model Yacht Club at Princes Park in Eastbourne in August of 2022. The DF65 is the a popular one design model racing yacht with an active racing circuit in the UK. Popular in local clubs, this boat provides an ideal introduction to Model Yacht Racing and can be raced all the way up to National Level More details of the DF65 or DragonForce can be found by checking out some of our other videos which go into some detail but basically the boat is a mass produced, off the shelf model yacht that is raced as a one design class, all boats are technically the same and available at low cost, which provides close and competitive racing. Radio Sailing (Model yacht racing) is a competitive form of yacht racing run along similar lines to dinghy racing and keelboat racing.

We continued our voyage up the Gulf of California, stopping at the beautiful crescent shaped harbor on Isla San Francisco before sailing north to Puerto Escondido and the Loreto National Marine Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is full of beautiful island anchorages, an abandoned salt mining town, and some of the best panaramic views of our cruise so far. We sailed past breaching whales and pods of dolphins, the rich life in the sea contrasting to the desert ruggedness on land. After so much time on the sea, we also headed inland to see a historic mission high in the mountains at San Javier. Julia is a traditionally built wooden boat, planked in fir on oak frames. She was launched in 1960, and is still a great boat for cruising the world's oceans! TRAS EL TEMPORAL. BUCEO, VELA Y MAR, MUCHA MAR. La semana pasada tuvimos un temporal en la ría de Vigo. Es muy típico en esta época de agosto. Esto ha hecho que el fondo marino haya cambiado un montón. Las algas laminarias se ha partido y las rocas del fondo se dejan ver. A pesar de ello y que el agua está algo turbia. Los fondos marinos de Galicia nos siguen regalando grandiosas imágenes. TRAS EL TEMPORAL. BUCEO, VELA Y MAR, MJCHA MAR. Al poco rato nos veis salir del puerto de Cangas do Morrazo para hacer unos bordos en ceñida, través, largo y una buena popa con sus orejas de burro. A continuación nos vamos a la zona de la playa de Barra a pasar tres días. Aprovechando la estancia nos vamos a bucear y de paso rescatamos una parrilla y un reloj de unos amigos. We leave the careening poles and head out to sea to put the new engine to the test and to make sure that everything is OK. Then it’s back to the marina for a couple of nights for last minute boat jobs and to provision Nutshell with fresh produce. We finally manage to find Nutshell’s leak when the water heater erupts and empties boiling water everywhere! It’s time to take it out. Magnus puts down a beer brew, makes boat wine and Wendy pickles eggs for the trip. We finally leave Tipperary Waters Marina after months of staying in Darwin waiting for the cyclone season to end.
