Sorry pour le retard ! Après quelques problèmes de santé le mois dernier, je peux enfin finaliser le montage de cette vidéo... Dans cet épisode 11, après avoir déposé notre fille et son chien à La Rochelle, nous sommes revenus à Saint Denis d'Oléron pour laisser passer le mauvais temps. Et on en a profité pour visiter l'île et découvrir des coins magnifiques, que nous ne connaissions pas encore. A cause du vent la voix est parfois couverte, j'ai donc décidé de supprimer simplement le blabla et de mettre en musique. Le problème lié à la carte mémoire de la caméra quasiment pleine persiste, ce qui la fait passer à une résolution plus basse... pfff, en vidéo c'est toujours après que l'on découvre les problèmes ! We swapped our cosy, upriver anchorage on Panama's Chagres for a lumpy, confused Caribbean sea. We were glad of the short journey and couldn't wait to tuck in behind the breakwater of the Panama Canal on our way to Shelter Bay Marina. After that, the Captain's perfect docking sent him on a power trip that lasted the whole week. Pedro was quickly deployed on deck scrubbing duty (music to the Captain's ears) and we got through a long list of marina jobs including a huge provision for our remote sailing to come! I know, I know! It seems every other video i've been going on about my "bilge pump", well this video is the video that ends them all as we spend the whole morning fitting a new one to Lulu. Seriously though, we couldn't go on any more without a bilge pump. The Drascombe Lugger needs one as she doesn't self drain so it was important to get one fitted ASAP. I decided to not replace the small "Chimp" pump that the boat originally had fitted (See my other videos for plenty on that, including removal!). I not only found that pump hard to operate, usually taking some skin from my fingers as I used it, but it was in the wrong place and I also wanted a bigger pump that could help better in the sea. This video takes you through step by step how I fitted my new Bilge pump to Lulu. I hope it helps other Drascombe owners. Oh the pump I used was the Whale Pump Compaq 50, under deck flush fitting pump. It's awesome. Parts I bought the pump from Marine super store as it was about £40 cheaper. Bonjour à tous Une vidéo aujourd'hui pour vous montrer qu'en voilier 1 jour = 1 problème à résoudre... La plaisance quelle galère!!! Mais que de bonheur aussi. La hantise à bord, l'eau...qu'elle soit douce ou salée d'où vient-elle? Cela faisait quelques temps qu'on avait quelques gouttes d'eau douce sur la cloison bâbord du carré. Lors de fortes pluies, on avait des petites gouttes , mais souvent rien aussi. ça coulait, ça ne coulait pas ..ça coulait, ça ne coulait pas .. Il n'y a rien de pire qu'une panne, une fuite aléatoire. On a cherché, cherché, cherché...la base des chandeliers, le rail d'écoute de grand voile, le cabinet de toilette bâbord. Bref on a tout fait ... Pour se rende à l'évidence : il faut démonter le vaigrage du plafond avec les lumières pour voir ce qui se passe en dessous! Mais comment faire ? le vaigrage est bloqué sous une baguette aluminium d'un coté et contre la cloison de l'autre. Il faut parfois être un peu "MacGyver" quand on bricole sur un bateau! Après plusieurs tentatives, on a enfin réussi! Voici en image une solution qui pourra peut être vous aider un jour. Au passage remarquez les étagères faites par Oliver dans les placards. C'est bien pratique de ranger sur 2 niveaux plutôt que d'empiler sur la hauteur. Bon film à tous, n'hésitez pas à commenter ou à poser vos questions. A bientôt Isabelle

This time we are swallowed by volcanic legacies in the underground of Terceira. Spooky, creepy, wet and chilly … and super exciting crawling along an almost 700m long lava tube used for Christmas masses and weddings in the Azores! The 2000 year old Algar do Carvão cave 550m above sea level surprises us with massive stalagtites and black walls. Once again we climb into the vent of an extinct volcano. No fun for claustrophobic people! Poisonous “smoke” coming out of the ground at the Furnas do Enxofre once more visualize how active the underground of the Azores actually is covering the surrounding rocks with trendy colors. And last but not least before leaving Terceira for mainland Europe we visit the sheltered magnificent Renaissance city Angra do Heroismo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was massively damaged by the 1980 earthquake, also felt on the neighboring island Graciosa. The use of biodegradable plastics should be limited to a number of applications such as packaging that ends up mixed with organic waste. That is compost bags or agricultural films, or whenever the reusable alternative is impossible, such as cutlery or plates. For optimal biodegradability there is a need for industrial composting facilities and collection systems. The only safeguards, which are currently not mandatory, are certifications. These should be more demanding, particularly in terms of toxicity and biodegradability analysis. The question of non-competition with agricultural resources must also be addressed.

In 1868, the Feret consecrated Château Rousselle by classifying it as "Premier Bourgeois", the highest distinction in the A.O.C; Vincent Lemaitre, a lover of the vine and wine, eager to learn all the requirements and complexity, chose this terroir in order to take up a challenge. Since 1999, Vincent has been striving to restore the splendour and reputation that the vineyard had acquired in the past. Today, Château Rousselle is once again a must for Bordeaux wines Chateau Rousselle Cru Bourgeois Cotes De Bourg… …Is 85% Merlot the balance is Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Spicy with a peppery nose of plum, blackberry confit and minerals. The palate is fresh and well-defined with mouth-filling cassis and chocolate with licorice, mocha and vanilla spice.
