The harbor of Andratx on the westside of Mallorca, is a great spot to see the sunset. The mountains that surround the bay give shelter to the boats in the marina and make the water reflect the orange color of the sunset.
The south coast of Mallorca has amazing bays (or cala's), which are small, sheltered and the turquoise water still keeps amazing us. It’s 5 meters deep, but such clear water, that you can see the sand and the bottom very well! This is Cala Illeta.
Cala Portals Vells was mentioned as 1 of the most beautiful bays. It has the shape of 3 fingers and is surrounded by hills with trees.

La ammainata classica è la manovra che maggiormente spaventa gli equipaggi meno esperti, a tal punto che spesso il gennaker non viene nemmeno considerato, per paura di non riuscire ad ammainarlo. Come ammainare il gennaker in crociera Ammainare il gennaker, sulle moderne barche da crociera, è più facile se questo è dotato di una calza. Il gennaker viene armato sulla delfiniera oppure su un bombresso e issato avvolto in una calza che resta poi in testa d'albero durante la navigazione. Récupérer une personne tombée à la mer Ce cours fait partie d'une formation au permis côtier en ligne complète de grande qualité et d'un niveau largement supérieur au minimum requis. Notez toutefois que pour obtenir votre permis côtier, suivre cette formation ne vous dispensera pas de passer physiquement dans un bateau-école. En effet, il n'est à ce jour pas possible de passer le permis côtier en candidat libre. Ni la pratique, ni le code. Cela dit, les notions évoquées dans cette formation (balisage, règles de barre, météo marine, radio VHF, manœuvres, carte marine, marée, matelotage, Sécurité, etc...) sont indispensables à connaître pour prendre la mer et seront donc utiles bien au-delà de l'examen, y compris pour ceux qui l'ont déjà réussi dans le passé. La formation permis côtier comprend 15 cours (13 heures de vidéo), répartis en 4 modules. Elle est pourvue de 15 tests automatisés composés de 300 questions thématiques et de deux examens blancs piochant de façon aléatoire dans 120 questions. Von Martinique segeln wir gen Norden. Die nächste Insel der Kleinen Antillen ist Dominica, ein absolutes Kontrastprogramm zu den französischen Schwestern. Dominica, einst britisch, zählt heute zu den ärmsten Ländern der Welt. Die Einwohner sind wohltuend relaxt (könnte an den Rauchschwaden liegen, die sie umhüllen) und überaus freundlich.Vor allem ist es aber die sagenhafte Natur, die die Insel so besonders macht. Teile der Piraten-Saga "Fluch der Karibik" wurden hier gedreht. Doch es gibt ein Problem... Und dann bekommt Cingene, unsere Bordhund, Fanpost. Naja, nicht direkt. Vielmehr will der Absender uns verklagen, weil Cingene eben Cingene heißt. Das ist Türkisch und heißt Zigeuner. Deshalb seien wir Rassisten! Nun ja, was soll man da antworten? Eine Menge!

Nous avons reçu Starlink. Nous l'installons sur l'Eden. Le débit est impressionnant.
Die Frontfenster werden eingebaut, der Geräteträger gespachtelt und geschliffen. Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei generalüberholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. We start this sail from the bottom of the lake where the wind has formed almost a bay of Lee shore around our anchorage. The easy way out would be to drop the outboard in, but that's not the SWD way!!! So, we tack and tack and tack again until we're out and finally free from the cove. Just as soon as we're sailing we then run aground and Lulu's centreboard gets knocked off it's roller so it's stuck in position. We carry on though, beating all the way home in a very difficult, and quite frankly, tedious wind.
