After we had attended the 4-day conference in San Diego in the USA, we took 1 week extra for a roadtrip through California. We rented a car (Ford Mustang) and had great time driving through Joshu Tree National Park, Mammoth Lakes, Mono Lake and Sequoia Forest. It was Memorial Day Weekend, so lots of Americans were BBQ-ing, rafting on the rivers and having a great time as well! We made a video of the 10 highlights of our California Road trip including drone footage in Sequoia National Park (80 meter high trees, 2200 years old) and during the Shania Twain concert we attended in the Hollywood Superbowl in Los Angeles on the last evening!

@SV-true-love As we prepare to at last splash the boat, I have cleaned and scrubbed the interior. Following the winter on the hard, the boat smells musty. So, it’s important to not only surface clean but to deep clean all areas on the boat. Opened all the hatches and the boat smells perfect, meaning no smell at all. One more job completed before our splash. I will livestream our splash and journey home.

Once again our curiousity wins to check out the inner part of Britanny – at least the part that we could reach with Thula! And that was Pontrieux – yeah, we now know why this idyllic town is called the ‘venice of Britanny’. So what is it like going up a French river with a sailboat to reach the beginning of a fjordlike estuary of the Trieux river? A bit sketchy without having proper charts, navigating pretty much blind. The worst that could happen? Run aground on a silted up river bank. But how to get off that again with us being the only ones around again doing this little river adventure? All through my stage school days my friends and I would always be singing along with Lea, even pretending to be her, and definitely wanting to sound like her. Lea created the role of Kim in Miss Saigon, my absolute favourite musical. I used to love getting a last minute ticket in 'the gods' at Drury Lane on a Saturday afternoon to watch Lea with a friend. We would even have to use the little red theatre binoculars from the seats in front, because we were so far away! Fans of all ages will also recognise Lea as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin and Mulan for Mulan and Mulan II.
