For the full written captain’s report, test and performance data, and more about the Yamaha AR195, go to: https://www.boattest.com/review/yamaha/3826_ar195 The 2019 AR 195 has an all-new design that makes the boat 3” (7.62 cm) longer and 2” (5.08cm) wider than previous designs. A result of that is a new, more spacious cockpit with lounges that are 7” (17.18 cm) longer than on previous models. The cockpit on the this new model has an open, spacious feel with bench-style seating across the aft section and a full-length lounge to port that has open storage underneath. There are grab handles fore and aft in the port gunwale and notice the detailed textures in the two-tone upholstery.
Exclusive Content & Ask Dan - https://www.patreon.com/dansboatlife This is a design that I believe is going to cross over a few different categories and appeal to a wide audience. The Nimbus W11 will sleep the whole family, she'll belt along at over 40kts and she'll comfortably entertain a large group for the day while carrying water toys with ease. This is a boat that lens itself to solo operation with minimal experience and she transforms into a very comfortable platform when at rest. If you had a larger sports yacht, sports cruiser or SUV style vessel in mind then this W11 is worthy of your attention because it might just be a cheaper and better alternative depending on the mission you had in mind for the next boat. It's not perfect and that beautiful big swim platform out the back does change the centre of gravity a bit. But depending on what you need I can see this W11 coming out on top in a lot of situations. We are giving away 100% of our YouTube revenues to benefit children and our marine environment and ecology. As we travel around we realize just how blessed we are and just how many children go without even basic needs. In addition as divers and now sailors we see first hand just how bad the marine pollution problem has become. We have many ideas on how we plan on implimenting this goal, but would love to hear from you guys on ideas. Here are some of our brainstorming ideas: Children - health, food, clothing, homelessness and education. Marine / environmental - awareness, education and clean up. For the marine ecology we plan on bring awareness to marine sanctuaries and directly donate as well. We firmly believe that without education and waste management measures, that all the clean up efforts are a quick fix and maybe even a negative yield situation long term. We see it first hand. Best part is, for our viewers, we just need your assistance with likes, views, subscribing and most importantly shares on other social media platforms or with just people in general. That's our big announcement and long term goal with our YouTube channel. In addition in this episode we continue the LiFePo4 battery build and meet Carlos the boatyard cat. Thanks for watching and we truly hope you follow and enjoy our journeys
Bringing Yabá from wreck to dreamy! Episode 129 In this episode of our boat restoration we get all emotional about finally starting to paint our wooden hull. This is a crucial step towards a protected and long-lasting hull, but it definitely hurt us to say goodbye to the beautiful exposed wood. Besides that, we find more rot on our boat, this time in our bowsprit. Shout out to @david_shih for teaching me the word Cabosil. We are Ben and MP! Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. Once the boat was lifted (for the first time in her life) we realized that the work needed was much more than expected. Between bailing or accepting the challenge, we decided to go for the second option. Watch us as we bring Yabá back to life with the help of an amazing team of traditional shipwrights, sharing every phase of the process, overcoming the highs and lows and having fun along the way. Safe sailing. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V770 with a Rode External mic. My old camera is now my number 2 is a Panasonic Hc-v700. Most shots are done with an external mic (Shenggu sg 108) with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Action stuff and small blogging is done with a Sony Hdr-as30v. Underwater video Gopro3plus. Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff! There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World. Okay, I have to try to see if I can show you what this will do. I got up to 40 MPH with one hand, but with both hands, I can get well over 50 MPH, plus I can shift much better running the RPM much higher. I have changed the CDI with a GOOFIT race CDI, and performance coil also has changed the front sprocket from a 15 tooth to a 13 tooth. The only thing I have done to hurt my performance is put larger tires on the back, but with the other modifications, it still performs better than stock. Lots going on here at the boathouse. It's time to put the taper in the top of the mast. Turns out there's a little bit more to that than just doing a straight taper. We'll be talking about a certain kind of taper as well as figuring out how to accommodate the slip of the router in the mast. Meanwhile, Steve and Caroline get to work on starting to make some more planks for Arabella in anticipation of Wes and Jack coming to help us finish planking. This leads to an unexpected surprise with both planers! Thank you for watching and supporting! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign up for our email newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hn3Qyv Acorn to Arabella is a boat building project taking place in Granby, Massachusetts. Steve and Alix started as amateur boat builders building their own 38' wooden boat in their backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and beyond—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project will continue well past launch, when they will travel and learn to cruise aboard the boat that they've built. Wrecking our boat was the painful first stage of fixing her problems so that we can set sail once more. 8 years ago we were searching for a boat to to take us around the world. But within that search most boats had major problems which were way outside of our budget, experience, and timescale to fix. We ran away from boats like that, but after 7 years of sailing around the world Florence now has some of those problems herself, and this time there is no avoiding them. We have been sailing around the world for 7 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence. Join us as we share the highs, lows, and challenges of travelling around the world by boat, Sailing offshore across the Oceans and exploring remote locations with our own little tiny house. Whether you were looking at the front or the back of the fleet, the Indian Ocean showed its teeth this week. A series of major low pressure systems were piling on the pressure for all, both mentally and physically. From damaged gear to broken boats, this was a week where the conditions were intimidating as the strong winds and wild sea state took their toll. But this is still a race and key tactical decisions needed to be made. And despite the intimidating conditions, the front runners made some punchy , high risk calls. This was a week of broken boats, big gambles and extraordinary tactics. After a short stint working on a Superyacht, I start to make the journey back to Panama, which unfortunately was still in lockdown! So I fly to Florida where Martina meets me, and we start to figure out a way to go back to Parlay. As the airports are closed, it looks like sailing may be the only option... #veleiro #hobiecat

How to replace the fuel filter, and where they hide it on most cars including this Jeep. The location of the fuel filter on most cars is on the frame near the gas tank. The tools for this job is very minimal with a wrench, pliers, and screwdriver, you can probably get this job done. The total time out of your day to change the fuel filter is about 10 minutes, minus cleaning up fuel spillage and getting the gas smell off you. Go check out our video on how to test fuel pressure: https://youtu.be/zehgFmSR4-I Tools and parts: WIX Fuel Filter: https://amzn.to/35bU7Yl Lucas Cylinder Lubrication & Injector Cleaner: https://amzn.to/37i1dgy Fuel Injector Injection Pump Pressure Tester Gauge Kit: https://amzn.to/3kcULuM Milwaukee 18-Volt Drill and Impact Driver Kit: https://amzn.to/2HfipZ5 268-Piece Husky Mechanics Tool Set: https://amzn.to/3kuGUzD I know for most we always think of more technical issues before starting some were easy like a fuel filter. My wife always says I make things harder than I should, she is right. So the fuel filter on the fuel line is the most common thing to get clogged, there is also a strainer in the fuel tank. Why we look at the filter first is the stainer is in the gas tank, not easy to get to. Also, the strainer is just that, a strainer, it is less likely to clog unless you are just dumping mud in the tank, plus it cost more just for the part. 5 things that can point to a clogged fuel filter: Reduced Engine Performance When you hit the gas and your car feels like it is about to fall on it's face, this could be a clogged fuel filter. You end up starving your engine of fuel and the ECU will limit engine performance to prevent engine damage. Hard Starting This is more than likely not your issue, if the fuel filter is causing this issue, you have had the above issue for quite a while Stalling While stalling could happen it is rare, if your car stalls because the fuel filter is clogged, the above issues have been haunting you for a while. Random Misfire or Rough Idle If you have low fuel pressure the fuel filter can cause this. We do test our fuel pressure for this jeep, and I woulda filter issue to mostly affect unregulated fuel pressure. Fuel System Part Failures A clogged fuel filter may overwork your fuel pump causing pump failure. Your fuel pump would end up having more internal pressure, not a good thing. On another note, your fuel pump also uses fuel to cool the pump, better to ride on the top of your tank than the bottom. After the Annapolis boat show we were fortunate enough to be able to take a very popular catamaran, the Seawind 1260 for a test sail. The conditions were calm and warm and we tested out this catamaran in light winds and poor visibility. We were also able to do another candid management interview with Shane Grover, the US marketing manager of Seawind. As with our previous interviews, the questions came from our Patrons and pulled no punches. Enjoy! Cheers, Nick & Terysa Watch the FULL review of the Seawind 1260 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaH8Zdb0YRY&list=PLZUfYw9ZbdscuVgfnwLhbk-RCaeXVqkSE&index=17 The equipment we use: Panasonic Lumix G85 https://amzn.to/2FsC2Kc Go Pro Hero 7 Black https://amzn.to/2SRTWtF DJI Mavic Pro 2 https://amzn.to/2D6nZbs DJI Spark https://amzn.to/2VQIal3 Manfrotto Pixie https://amzn.to/2RJbCud Manfrotto Smooth head tripod https://amzn.to/2snTJCQ DJI Osmo 2 https://amzn.to/2D7e9Go Lowepro Passport 3 https://amzn.to/2FnGef8 All this equipment has been tried and tested in the field and we love it! In this episode we meet Aiko, who tells us the horrifying story of her getting attacked by a crocodile in the San Blas islands, in Panama. The crocodile bit her on the leg and dragged her under the water, making her see her life flash before her eyes. She connects with the animal deep underwater and shares how she managed to survive. What an incredible story! SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged 2012 Lagoon 450 Catamaran bought in Tortola, BVI at the beginning of 2018. We've taken a road trip into the Cloud Forest of Boquete...where the world’s most expensive coffee is grown. **If you want more details about this farm our experience, click over to our site: http://gonewiththewynns.com/geisha-most-expensive-coffee There's no way we can do this experience justice with our limited time and video skills. It was a crazy, unexpected couple days that we weren't prepared for. We came to Boquete with the expectation to spend a few minutes with one farmer. We thought: if we were lucky maybe we'd get to sample a coffee or two. The kindness and eagerness of the farmers to share their love of coffee with us was unimaginable. So we did our best to condense these few amazing experiences down into one relatively short video. We whole-heartedly hope you enjoy experiencing Geisha with us, it was a dream come true for me (Jason) and I'm proud of the video we produced through all the freaking out.
