In this video, we step aboard the Princess X80, a yacht that pushes the boundaries of space and layout within the sportbridge category, combining the flexibility of a larger tri-deck yacht with the performance and usability expected from Princess. With its expansive glazing, extended superstructure, and flowing indoor-outdoor layout, the X80 is designed around volume and connection to the sea. The concept behind the X Class is all about creating significantly more usable living space, and the result is a yacht that feels noticeably larger than a traditional 80-foot platform. A huge thank you to the team at Princess Yachts for giving us access to this incredible yacht! If you enjoy detailed yacht and boat tours, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more marine content.
With inflation hitting our grocery bills hard this Spring, buying pre-cut meat at the supermarket is a trap. In this video, I’m showing you step-by-step how to break down an inexpensive whole pork loin right at your kitchen counter. You don't need fancy butcher skills to master this; I will show you exactly how to split a single budget-friendly primal cut into three to Four premium meals: juicy center-cut roasts, country-style boneless ribs perfect for a low-and-slow smoke, and thick, juicy boneless pork chops ready for a high-heat sear. Top 7 Trailerable Sailboats in 2026 (With Real Prices!) #boat #sailing
Day 2 & 3 of our sail from the United States to Colombia did not go to plan. What was meant to be a comfortable beam reach in 18–22 knots quickly turns into something very different. Instead of cruising south, we find ourselves stuck in gale-force winds, beating upwind for nearly two straight days with the boat heeled over and the crew running on almost no sleep. With Escapade pinned over at a 15° lean and waves on the nose, the miles come slowly and the reality of this offshore passage starts to set in. Fatigue kicks in, morale gets tested, and survival mode begins to take over. Somewhere in the middle of it all, the boys decide to try their luck at fishing again — and hook into a monster. Wahoo… or king mackerel? Either way, it’s a welcome boost during a tough stretch at sea. After pushing through the conditions, we finally make landfall in the Ragged Islands of the Bahamas, where we drop anchor, regroup, and wait for a better weather window before continuing the long passage south to Colombia. Offshore sailing doesn’t always go to plan… and this leg is only just getting started. ⛵ Thanks for following the journey aboard Escapade. This is a huge step in our first build. The house is finally close to being dried in, but before the insulation crew arrives, we have to finish every hidden detail inside the exterior walls — range hood ducting, wood stove chimney framing, electrical and CAT6 stub-outs, hose bib blocking, HVAC condensate drains, porch roof wiring, drywall nailers, and a few mistakes along the way. In this episode, we take our final underwater breath in Fakarava before setting sail—though our destination kept shifting with every change in the wind. What followed was anything but routine. We sailed straight into a brutal storm that forced us to drop the sails and rely on the engines… which failed us yet again. After a month of relentless troubleshooting and zero progress, our frustration finally boiled over. Pushed to our breaking point, we had a conversation we never thought we’d have—seriously considering selling the boat right here in French Polynesia. #sailing #sailboatlife #liveaboard #fakarava #frenchpolynesia #sailingadventures #stormatsae #enginefailure #boatproblems #offshore #cruisinglife #liveaboardsailing #sailingcouple #roughseas #boatmaintenance NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! ► With their hurricane-damaged catamaran now moved to a different spot in the boatyard and leveled up to dispel any worries about distortion of the hulls, Raf and Sascha could set about their plans for the shipping container directly behind them. ► Some of their YouTube followers were hoping to see them get stuck into working on the boat and getting the rebuild advancing faster, but the value of having a real workshop and a storage area cannot be underestimated. From their experience of fitting out their previous boat, fitting out a shipping container came as quite an easy - if time-consuming - task. After leveling up the container and with a few repairs undertaken, they’ve ended up with great facilities including a long workbench with a sink at one end and all their tools and spare parts and materials neatly organized. The crew will now be able to get the rebuild project moving so much quicker. And being able to have this right behind the boat, well, it’s the stuff of dreams for anyone doing a major refit. ► With all their gear shifted from its former location to where the boat now lies, the final job was to bring across the beautiful staircase they’d made last year, but unfortunately, it was just a little too short for the new spot, so they had to construct a new one. This will be so much safer and quicker to use than a ladder like almost all the other boats in the yard (particularly when carrying tools or materials up and down), so that in itself is going to speed the job along considerably. ► Work then began on the inside, with much cutting out of fiberglass from the underside of the coachroof, before they could begin moving in the right direction to get it all back together and adding back in all the strength that had been compromised when the boat had been lying upside down in the mangroves in Carriacou. Quite a bit of trial and error was required to get the epoxy to the right consistency, but they got there in the end. ► As for commencing work on the exterior of the hulls, they enlisted the help of Dareen and Jay from Fiberglass Pro Grenada who quickly set about cutting out damaged areas and digging out the rotten balsa core before replacing sections of it with a foam core material and epoxy. To allow the professionals to complete their work meant giving them access to the area where the forward crossbeam attaches to the hull. The beam itself was trashed in the hurricane and held together with timber and rope lashings, so it needed to be removed anyway, but not before the very delicate operation moving a bird’s nest they found in the end of the beam. So Raf and Sascha had to work late into the evening to get the beam out in time for the next day’s work. Completing all the fiberglass repairs to the hull has really added momentum to the rebuild and it looks like the project has finally got the wind in its sails. ► Who: Raf and Sascha Where: Grenada, West Indies Multihull: Lagoon 450S YouTube: @SpearItAnimal ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! Bruce and Bob’s Pacific Loop: A Solo Sailor’s Search for Utopia: https://www.practical-sailor.com/voyaging/910506/ If you’re considering a C&C 110, C&C 115, or C&C 121, there’s one critical detail you need to understand before you buy: cored hull construction. In this Practical Sailor deep dive, we break down the design philosophy behind the modern C&C revival, including Tim Jackett’s role, and why these performance cruising sailboats are built with advanced composite materials like Core-Cell. We cover C&C 110 specs, C&C 115 review insights, C&C 121 performance, and what makes these boats fast, capable, and appealing for sailors looking for a blend of speed and comfort. But with that performance comes risk. We explain the real-world concerns around cored hull sailboats, including water intrusion, delamination, impact damage, and long-term maintenance. We also dive into sailboat survey tips, resale value considerations, and why some buyers avoid cored hull boats altogether. If you’re searching for used sailboats for sale, best performance cruising sailboats, or want to understand the pros and cons of cored vs solid fiberglass hulls, this video will help you make a smarter buying decision. We are looking at two. ZARKAVA and VALYRA are two extraordinary 27 metre Hodgdon superyachts, both built in carbon fibre, both powered by triple MAN V12 engines and Kamewa waterjets, and both created with one very clear purpose: to go incredibly fast while remaining unusually quiet and comfortable on board. Commissioned by His Highness the Aga Khan, these yachts reflect a very particular vision of yachting. Speed was important, of course, with ZARKAVA reportedly capable of around 60 knots in the right conditions, but so was comfort. These were not simply fast boats. They were highly considered, technically advanced yachts designed to combine performance, refinement and serious engineering. Built by Hodgdon Yachts in the USA, with naval architecture by Donald L. Blount, exterior styling by Pininfarina and interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon, ZARKAVA and VALYRA are pure custom builds with a remarkable pedigree. In this tour, Katia takes you on board ZARKAVA first, looking at the deck spaces, helm area, saloon, cabins, crew accommodation and engine room, before also showing you VALYRA and explaining how the two yachts compare. If you enjoy rare yachts, high-speed yacht design, carbon fibre construction, waterjet propulsion, or simply want to see something genuinely unusual in the brokerage market, this is a very special video. Gruselig! Aber seht selbst. Suria is still moored off the Algarve. We’ve lost count of the storms by now. On the few fine days, we sail out to sea to run the watermaker or go on excursions. Heidi and Robert take me to the rugged west coast, whilst Dirk and I take the train to visit Saskia and her fluffy crew member Rüdi in Lagos. There we meet Sven, who is having a massive rudder damage repaired at the shipyard. Iberian orcas had severely damaged his rudder and steering column off the west coast of Portugal. Spooky! But see for yourselves.

Today aboard Indara we leave beautiful Sivota Bay for a short sail to Spartochori on Meganissi Island. After dropping the anchor and settling in, we take the bikes for a ride to Vathy, enjoy a peaceful Greek dinner by the boat, and finish the day with a relaxing walk through the village of Spartochori. No rushing. No schedules. Just another slow day living and sailing in Greece. ⛵ Boat: Najad 380 "Indara" 🌊 Ionian Sea, Greece 🚲 Cycling • Sailing • Village Life • Slow Travel #Sailing #Greece #Meganissi #Liveaboard
Back aboard the Gypsy after wrapping up work in Port Protection, we dropped anchor beside a beach locals told us about… a hidden stretch of shoreline filled with colorful stones, polished agates, driftwood, mist, and wild Alaska energy. What started as a failed fishing mission turned into one of our favorite explorations yet. We spent hours wandering the beach in the rain, filling buckets with rocks that looked painted by hand, listening to strange owl calls in the forest, and watching orcas cruise past the boat. This is the kind of day that reminds us why we live this way. Self-reliant sailboat life in Southeast Alaska, one strange and beautiful anchorage at a time. Now available in Fiji. All the info at https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/2023-neel-52-10185628/ Hello and welcome back to Nautilus Yacht Management Today we are immensely proud to welcome you to the 2023 Neel 52 trimaran Makani. Makani is hull number 1. She was the first to be created by the Marc Lombard design group, and as such as lavished exceptional attention. Makani is also the only Neel 52 trimaran available in the world as a true proven Bluewater equipped yacht, having sailed halfway around the world, new build wrinkles ironed and improved continuously along the way. She is available turn key with everything you need to step aboard and begin your own journey. The Neel 52 is a modernised, sleeker evolution of the popular Neel 51, featuring significantly lower weight (~1.5 tons lighter), more aggressive inverted bows, improved cockpit ergonomics, better weight distribution, more sail area forward, safer hem access, and higher interior versatility. While maintaining the same overall length, the 52’s main hull has a deeper curve to improve manoeuvrability. Instead of Balsa core, it uses enhanced vacuum-infused foam sandwich construction for improved strength-to-weight ratios The Neel 52 is widely considered a "game-changer" in the luxury cruising market because it successfully challenges the catamaran-dominated world by offering superior sailing performance without sacrificing, and often exceeding, the comfort and volume of a 50+ foot catamaran. Its multiple awards, including Multihull of the Year over 50 feet (2025) and nominations for European Yacht of the Year 2024, are earned through a unique combination of high-speed performance, incredible layout flexibility, and the "cockloon" living concept. Head to MarinerSpirit.com to support this project! I was about to spend $5000 on roughly 200 board feet of white oak for the restoration of Lady Hawk, our 1934 Danish wooden ship. Instead, we somehow ended up with MORE lumber… and a 1971 Dodge Tradesman van. So in this episode, we head north to Comox to inspect the van, get it running again, and visit a local mill sourcing massive Garry oak slabs from a wind fallen tree that originally fell in Victoria. The tree’s journey is continuing in a strange way now. After being trucked north and milled on Vancouver Island, it’ll soon become part of Lady Hawk as we slowly transform her from an old Danish fishing vessel into a Pacific sail cargo ship bound for Mexico. Along the way: * we load massive slabs into the van by hand * reorganize and demolish parts of the workshop * build proper storage for Lady Hawk projects * repair Thunder Child’s exhaust manifold before haul out * and slowly begin turning chaos into something capable of restoring a wooden ship This project has become a lot bigger than just a boat. Sailing deep into the mountains of British Columbia, through narrow glacier-carved inlets filled with turquoise water, steep granite walls, and waterfalls dropping straight into the sea. The wind gets funneled through the valleys and pinned between the mountains, turning the passage out into a steady beat — working our way out one leg at a time through some of the most dramatic coastal sailing on the BC coast. After a full day under sail, we find a remote beach, light a driftwood fire, and smoke a fresh salmon right at the edge of the tide. Hi and welcome aboard @SailingAstridTheWombat We are Gav and Shezz and two and a half years ago we bought our Beneteau Oceanis 430 sailboat with absolutely no sailing experience and jumped straight into the deep end of liveaboard sailing. Our very first passage was just over 700 nautical miles, launching us headfirst into the world of bluewater cruising, learning to sail, and real life at sea. Since that moment, we’ve been fully immersed in boat life, documenting the journey of turning a production cruising sailboat into a capable, self-sufficient home as we prepare for full-time liveaboard life. From major sailboat upgrades and off-grid power systems to everyday maintenance and skills building, we’re learning what it truly takes to own, sail, and live on a boat while working toward our goal of sailing around the world. If you’re into sailing adventures, beginner sailing, sailboat ownership, cruising lifestyle, and traveling the world by sailboat, our journey is all about real-time learning, ocean freedom, and building the confidence to chase long-term world cruising under sail. If you’ve ever dreamed about leaving the dock, becoming a liveaboard sailor, and sailing around the world, this episode is for you! In this week’s liveaboard sailing adventure, we continue preparing our sailboat for the biggest journey of our lives as we get ready to cast off and explore the world by sailboat. From downsizing our belongings and making space onboard, to upgrading the tender with a new hydrofoil, every step brings us closer to full-time cruising life and offshore sailing adventures. Living on a sailboat means every inch of storage matters, so in this episode we start sorting through everything we own, getting rid of what we don’t need, and learning how to simplify life for long-term world travel by sailboat. Preparing a cruising sailboat for offshore passages takes planning, organisation, and plenty of hard work, and we’re bringing you along for every part of the journey. Whether you’re already a sailor, dreaming about becoming a liveaboard cruiser, or simply love travel and adventure videos, there’s something here for you. We also install a hydrofoil on our dinghy tender to improve performance and efficiency on the water. It’s an exciting sailboat upgrade that could make exploring anchorages and getting to shore even easier during our future sailing adventures around the world. Alongside all the boat projects and preparation, we also take time to celebrate Gav’s birthday onboard, reminding us why we chose this incredible sailing lifestyle in the first place. If you love liveaboard sailing, cruising life, sailboat refits, offshore sailing preparation, sailing couple adventures, and travelling the world by sailboat, make sure to subscribe and follow our journey. Our goal is to inspire others to chase freedom, adventure, and life at sea while sharing the real highs and challenges of preparing a boat for world cruising. Join us as we continue turning our dream of sailing around the world into reality, one project, one upgrade, and one adventure at a time.

Safe sailing. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V700 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Action, underwater scenes and small blogging is done with two Osmo action cams. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera. Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff! There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World. Not everyone gets to test a boat like we do. We put the 39ft Seawind 1170 through its paces crossing the Tasman Sea, documenting a 9-day sailing adventure on one of the world's most notorious passages and testing many features and capabilities of this cruising catamaran. The severe weather conditions, including a southerly front and then low pressure system, produced heavy seas that truly tested both the boat and our safety during this offshore sailing journey. This sailing documentary captures the raw, unpolished experience of the Seawind 1170 catamaran and it's offshore ability. ⛵ Seawind 1170 Pricing and Availability 👉https://multihullcentral.com/new_boat/seawind-1170/ Chapters: 00:50 Day 1 - Setting off from Sydney Crossing the Tasman Sea 03:04 Day 2 - 30 Knots | Punching Into Heavy Seas Toward New Zealand 04:57 Day 3 - Light Winds & Screecher | Galley Tour, Provisioning & Ocean Passage Cooking 07:55 Day 4 - Navigation Station | Inside the Seawind 1170 Nav Station 11:17 Day 5 - Offshore Helm Tour | Seawind 1170 Twin Helm in 25-Knot Tasman Conditions 14:00 Day 6 - Weather Shift at Last | Fast Reaching Toward New Zealand in 30 Knots 15:29 Day 7 - Power & Water | Lithium Batteries, Solar & Watermaker at Sea 21:05 Day 8 - Final Approach to New Zealand| Weather Routing & Heavy Seas Ahead 25:00 Day 9 - Arrival in New Zealand | 1,248 Nautical Miles Across the Tasman Complete 25:40 Request Info Pack
