Legend has it that Greek god Odysseus was shipwrecked on Mljet Island many years ago and swam to a cave for shelter where he stayed captivated by the beautiful nymph Calypso for 7 years. We've gone in search of said cave and found that the tricky part is how to get there! Odysseus's cave is located close to the southern coastal village of Babino Polje and can only be accessed on foot by following the path. If you're staying in Polace or Pomena on Mljet Island, your best bet is to hire a car or scooter to get to the small village leading you to this magical cave! When you arrive at Odysseus's cave you'll be greeted with incredible turquoise blue water, a cave, cliff face, and a small shelter with a local selling cool drinks. Our top tip: pack a picnic and spend all day at this magical, mythical destination! Hi everyone! By popular demand of several subscribers, we are bringing you the Fourth and final in a multi-part story of Eva, our 1958 356A Cabriolet and her history with our family. Heidi’s Great Uncle acquired the car in 1961 from Bill Boeing Jr. (son of the founder of Boeing aerospace in Seattle). It is an interesting and fun story! In this episode, Eva leaves Bruce Baker’s shop in Collegeville Penn. Bruce spent an extra day getting Eva back on the road as there was a lot to do! Thanks Bruce! She got all new brake hard and soft lines, six NOS brake slave cylinders and four new shocks. It was still a little touch and go as those carburetors really needed a complete rebuild. But once on the road Eva hunkered down and got us home safe and sound! There will be some fun and exciting photos and video moments of this series. We hope you enjoyed the video. Jubilee is no longer for sale by JMYS. Jubilee is a 2007 George Buehler designed 41’ Diesel Duck 382 built to yacht standards by Sea Horse Marine, Zhuhai, China. She is a full displacement steel passage maker with a single diesel engine and a sail assist/get home balanced rig with roller furling jib, roller furling main, boomless main with traveler bar control and 4 Harken winches. Jubilee is a slightly smaller version of the popular Diesel Duck 462. At 41′, it is a 3/4 version of the Diesel Duck 462. It is 10′ shorter and one foot narrower. There are subtle modifications in dimensions measuring a foot here and there. Both models have the same size master stateroom bed, the 382 has narrower walk around. The biggest difference is that the 382 has one head forward with a separate shower. The 462 has an additional head and shower in the owner’s cabin. She is seaworthy, livable and affordable. If your cruising goals include unlimited travel in comfort with the dependability of diesel propulsion combined with the reliability of sail, please take a close look at the details included in this incredible trawler. She is meticulously maintained, lightly used and completely equipped for world cruising. She would also be a fine vessel for doing the popular “Great Loop”. For the last 4 years she has been cruising the Great Lakes and stored each winter in a heated facility. The Seahorse Diesel Duck series are built in anticipation of long range ocean voyaging where any type of weather could be encountered. All large window frames, i.e., the pilothouse windows, are tapped and gasketed for storm shutters as standard. There are four hatches; one each over the forward and aft cabins and two over the saloon. These are heavy duty aluminum manufactured to ship standards with stainless steel lockdown handles. Jubilee has (11) opening port holes in the hull built to the same ship standards with heavy grade aluminum and glass. Each has two stainless steel screw down seals including a screw down heavy aluminum “dead light (cover)” which can be dogged down water tight if necessary. I cover all the windows with reflectix panels I made for insulation, I turn my fantastic sucking air out on max (replaces all the air in the van every 90 seconds). I crack one window in a shaddy lower part of the van to create a consistent airflow. Other than that the fiberglass roof and insulation do a fantastic job of keeping the heat out. In colder climates I set the furnace on at minimum and close down all the windows same as for heat minus venting. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go seperate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharring my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time.
