You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? Drifting out to sea, in 40 knots of wind, attached to another vessel by anchor chain. We had to be rescued by the coast guard that turned out to be an extremely old fishing boat. The Meltemi wind was blowing a steady 35 - 40 knots all day, we were safely anchored in a sheltered bay UNTIL... another boat anchored on top of our anchor and off we went, attached to one another, just avoiding running into a super yacht in the anchorage and then out to sea. To get here we did have to do a full provisioning of the boat as we do plan to spend a month or two in the Bahamas and we know how hard it can be to get your favorite things there sometimes. We also get back into our new headsail from Precision Sails, taking you through the steps where we have a consultation with Sales, take all the necessary measurements to make sure the new sail fits our boat perfectly, and talk with the head designer after he has received our measurements so he can show us what the new sail will look like on our boat, as well as bring up an issue with our old sail we didn't even know we had. Nous sommes une famille de 4 personnes: Fred; Sandra; Valentin et Maurine. Nous embarquons sur notre voilier, un Sun Fizz de chez Jeanneau nommé "Mister Fizz" en compagnie de Heïdi notre chienne berger blanc suisse, et de Fifi notre chatte. Nous allons vous faire découvrir les lieux où nous débarquerons durant notre voyage autour du monde ainsi que notre mode de vie à bord. O começo de uma nossa Era para o nosso Shogun !!! 🌱⛵️ Nossa casa flutuante é uma casa Vintage, clássica, antiga ... o que achar apropriado para uma casa de 1970 e pouco, e assim como ela, o “coração” dela, um Md11 da Volvo, que já estava bem cansado e nos dando uma bela dor de cabeça !! Não que os problemas vão acabar, mas pelo menos diminuir !! Então decidimos trocar, já que do Rio de Janeiro em diante, as “pernadas” começam a ser maiores, e não temos conhecidos por lá para nos dar assistência em manutenção! Nosso Md11 nos ensinou muito, demos muita porrada nele, tadinho, mas ele era um tanque de guerra e funcionava ate na manivela !! Trocamos por um Volvo série 2003 usado, pois não temos condições de comprar um zero, mas nos sentimos em boas mãos, com o mecânico Dinho do Brachuy !! Dinho Mecanico E espero que esse novo coração ❤️ do Shogun vá longe, e nos traga muito aprendizado, felicidade, assim como o anterior !! Das jedenfalls ist einer der zahlreichen Tipps, die Blogger, Buchautor und Verleger Thomas Käsbohrer angehenden Autoren in diesem Segelradio Interview mit auf den Weg gibt. Und er muss es wissen: Denn er hat nicht nur selbst Bücher vom Segeln geschrieben, sondern blickt auch auf mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung in Buchverlagen zurück. The boat work has extended given we have added more work to be done while it is in the yard. We considered doing the deck and coach house in fiberglass and got a quote for doing so. We are now working closely with the yard to understand where we are on budget with all the other work and get a good validation on the estimates. This weeks episode covers how we are dealing with "living conditions" while the boat is up in the yard. We decided to move forward on getting a campter which we have considered this for quite some time now.
