Building a cruising sailboat Building a Jay Benford designed, 32ft junk schooner dory. In this video, I take delivery of my new secondhand Volvo Penta MD2010 engine, complete the station 5 frame and make a start on the station 6 bulkhead. All music from these videos is available from: https://ynotb.bandcamp.com/album/the-sv-tapatya-tracks Follow the build, along with the story of my first cruising adventure (The Miss Molly I Adventures) on my website; http://www.svtapatya.com Support the build, the vlog, the blog and the writing on; https://www.patreon.com/sv_tapatya Or follow me on Instagram for various shots of my boating life; https://www.instagram.com/sv.tapatya This is the story of my building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk-rigged, schooner dory. The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it. If you want to support the project but don't fancy the Patreon thing, one-off Paypal donations can also be made via the button on my website. Thank you! Tony
It's finally time to find our boat!! ⛵️ We have also had some good news and managed to sell our Nissan Sunny for almost DOUBLE the $ we paid for it, which means we will be able to spend a little more on our boat 🎑 We packed up from our house sit in Auckland & started our road trip towards Bay of Plenty. 🚗 We decided to live in our car during the twelve days in between our house sits, to try and save as much money as possible for our boat. There are two boats in Rotorua that we went to view and it was time to decide which one we were going to choose! We set up a camping spot by Lake Rotorua. A small secluded beach, which was perfect for backpackers travelling by car or camper 🚗🔥🌃 Check out our Patreon page to find out more about our potential boats & adventures in Bay of Plenty! 🌏 https://www.patreon.com/WorldsCorner
This video is about our continuing Tesla Road trip though AZ, NM to CO.

We did not enjoy our first day motoring the ICW and were afraid the whole trip was going to be a flop! We were feeling discouraged. On the 2nd day of motoring the ICW we traveled 5 miles south to an anchorage just south of Peanut Island. It was nice to just relax, but we were bummed to find that there were no good places to go ashore to hang out, eat a nice meal, or play on the beach. Peanut Island was way too over crowded and was a MAD HOUSE just trying to motor around it. The next day we motored 26 miles and stopped at a marina for the night. While there we found a chain that we could use as a weight on the anchor rode. The marina office had Wifi which we were excited about, but they refused to give us the password and told us that the internet wasn't working very well anyway. We were really bored and decided to try to do some laundry in the showers! haha it was funny and worked..okay...haha The following day we motored to Fort Lauderdale and seemed to be timing the bridges just right. We had to motor at full throttle though, and felt rushed the whole time, but it was okay. Once we got to Fort Lauderdale we grabbed our very first mooring ball at the Las Olas Marina, but quickly wrapped the keel with the line b/c of the opposing wind and current of water! We didn't have much of a choice, but to let the line free and try to slip it under the boat between the keel and the prop, but it ended up getting stuck on the rudder in the process! Randall got in the dinghy and tried to push to boat off the line, but it didn't work. Randall was able to pull up the slimy mooring ball line just enough to get us free and then was able to quickly get back on board to help grab a different mooring ball. It was very stressful in the moment and we were just glad we didn't crash into the bridge once we got free. After being on the boat for 5 days we were happy to get off and walk to the beach. *********************************************************************** THANK YOU for watching our videos and for SUBSCRIBING to our YouTube channel! On this episode of Big Easy Sailing, we began preparing the cockpit for painting. We also discover a puzzling issue with our winches. We are Shawn, Jessie, Mojo and Voodoo. We started our Youtube channel, Big Easy Sailing, to document our journey on our 1972 Gulfstar 36 sailboat. We've been together for 20 years and moved everywhere from our hometown of New Orleans to Alaska to Denver. Now our home will travel with us as we travel across beautiful blue waters. In this episode of Heading South we lose the rudder in 25 knot winds and barely make it to shore. Lex is taking his kite out and showing his amazing skills. Another crazy episode of how many things go wrong when sailing. It just shows how strong nature is and you should always be prepared for the unexpected. I will def make an emergency rudder for my next trip. Enjoy this episode and don't forget to subscribe if you havn't done that :) Also, if you have any questions or remarks please leave a comment and I will always reply. Have a great day everyone :)

Some cruisers call them Pirates, some call them criminals, I'd say they're opportunistic. It's also our last sail with crew on board. We'll be dropping everyone off in Portobelo after we arrive and it'll be just the two of us again for a while. Because to keep the journey going, you gotta put in some work! To keep Varuna ship shape, we pull into a tiny dock at Marina Seca Guaymas on mainland Mexico, haul her out of the water, and settle into a dusty new life up on the hard. Our goal is to get in and out of the boatyard quickly, prioritizing our projects and surveying our options for local supplies and labor before getting down to begin the dirty work. ________________ We hope you enjoy our videos and adventures.

As duas paradas aprovado no termo turístico.
In this video, my son had an issue with his JL amp turning on, I remounted the JL Marine M/600 amplifier that only had 2 screws in it, now there are 4. I then make sure the bass holes go through the seat holes. The bass holes are powered by a 10-inch pioneer champion subwoofer that I got for $40. and then tuned down to 30 Hz. The box it is in is temporarily made out of very cheap wood $10, did not blow a lot of money on something that may not work.
