After finding out my galley sink had a dramatic leak from a completely broken drain fixture, it was time to pull it out and replace it. After cutting off the old drain, it was time to install the new fixture, re-install the sink, and finish plumbing the drain hose.

There’s a flood in the boat and we don’t know where the water is coming from! Wendy starts bailing. The Go Pro gets a bit of time out and about. There are several shipwrecks in Mindelo Bay. One is partially submerged so we tied our dinghy on to it and explored the wreck top and bottom. This was easily the worst fog we have ever been in! Pretty nerve racking getting engulfed in it while in the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal where there is a lot of large ships and land nearby and technically you are not allowed to drop anchor there! If you had visited the Mengi Yay shipyard in the 1980s you would almost certainly have found them occupied in the construction of wooden gulets, and they built hundreds of them. Since then, they have evolved into an exciting yacht builder with some significant superyachts to their name, including the world's largest superyacht to be built from epoxy laminated wood. This video takes a look at how they have evolved, as I visited their facility in Tuzla, just outside Istanbul.

This week we're in Alicante, the home of the most epic ocean sailing race in the world: the Volvo Ocean Race. We visit the rather excellent museum and learn more about the incredible sailors who participate in this extreme sporting event. We have nothing but admiration for them! Barbados Adventure - 10 days on the island - Sailing Nipe EP 08 Now we have spent 10 days in Barbados, island exploring, snorkeling and scuba diving cleaning the hull on the boat, seen turtles, shipwreck and a lot of beautiful fishes.Visit a cigar factory were they made handmade cigars. I have seen a lot of comments that say this jack is cheap plastic and it could not lift a big truck with large tires. Well, here I am lifting a Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 crew cab weighing 6,000 lbs with 35-inch tires! Also when you are looking at a jack for your car or truck, you don't go off the gross weight of the vehicle, you have to look at the axle weight for that tire. This is a 1-ton jack, the total weight of the truck is over 3-tons, but just one tire is well within the limitations of the jack. One ton is equal to 2000 LB so if we divide 3 tons by 4 tires we get to a weight of 1500 LB per tire. Since this is a truck and the engine is at the front, I will estimate that for the front at weighing 500 to 1000 lb more than the back. Even at 1000, this would bring the weight at one ton per tire, the max for this jack. 20 years ago almost to the day, a bunch of Seawind owners got together to test their sailing prowess and race their cruising catamarans around the iconic Pittwater, just north of Sydney Harbour. Gathering at the Basin camping ground afterwards, tails were told over beers and a BBQ and friendships were born. The concept caught on and the Seawind Pittwater Regatta became an institution growing to become one of the largest multihull regattas in Australia and one of the largest brand gatherings of its kind in the world with around 35 Seawinds racing in its peak.
