Anschliessend geht es weiter, vorbei an Ayamonte den Rio Guadiana hoch bis Alcoutim. Hier findet das Guadiana Musikfestival statt, welches wir besuchen. Chegamos em Kourou com a missão de encontrar pessoas para nos ajudar a consertar nosso piloto e soldar nossa retranca. Logo que ancoramos já vimos que a estrutura não parecia animadora, apesar dos dois piers e da marina lá no fundo. Choveu. Ao descer vimos que ia ser bem difícil encontrar um centro Garmin, mas seguimos para um bar (lógico) onde tinha uma brasileira. Papo vai, papo vem, pensamos em ir para Cayenne que era maior. Tentamos alugar um carro, andamos horrores, pegamos carona com estranhos de biboca em bibocas de oficina até chegar nas oficinas dos foguetes. Sim! Kourou é base de lançamento de foguete, passamos entre a ida de uma oficina para a outra e nada do piloto ser resolvido. Nem na Nasa local! Enfim, quem arrumou foi o Fer do Strega mesmo! Saímos para comemorar no mesmo lugar de sempre, 999 Crepes, cerveja barata e internet rápida. Valeu a abastecida no mercado e as boas históroas pra contar!

Außerdem müssen wir den 300 kg Schiffsmotor anheben, um die Motorfüße auszuwechseln. No Bahamas this week as a cold front moves in and 30 knot winds force us to change course. Iguanas literally fell from the trees in Florida, with temperatures holding steady in the 40's! Instead, we sail north from Marathon Key to Miami and ultimately to Fort Lauderdale. Lots of sailing footage and lots of reefing. Our 43' Voyage Norseman catamaran - Lost Cat - handled beautifully. Es schliesst sich dann wieder eine lange Kanalfahrt mit einer idyllischen Unterbrechung bei der Giselauschleuse an. Exploring one of the busiest tourist areas in the world! The Phi Phi islands. https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, after spending 5 months in remote Indonesia, returning to Thailand we thought we wanted to do the normal tourist stuff, so we motor sailed Nandji the 20nm across to the infamous Phi Phi islands. This place is crazy busy with boats and tourists as thousands of tourists every day frequent the island. With hundreds of loud long boats roaring past Nandji, we decide to join the pack and hire our very own long boat captain for the day and head out on an excursion around the islands. This romanitc idea was more stressful than anticipated as we have near misses, boat collisions, get stuck on a rock and then have choppy seas on the way home... A real Thailand adventure! With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we have returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! This boat was built in 1972 by Camper & Nicholsons, and she's crossed the Atlantic three times since then. She needs some work, as all old boats do, but she's got great bones and is looking for her new owner to bring her back to her glory days We really like her design, with the protected helm in the center cockpit, good engine location and access, and a sensible layout down below.
