My name is Mark Reuten, and in this episode, we step back into traditional boatbuilding geometry and lay out a deck camber using simple geometric methods. Instead of relying on some form of compass to lay out a chord of a circle I walk through a practical shop-friendly approach using basic tools to create an accurate crown over a given span. We talk about how deck camber is defined in boat plans, how to translate that into a physical layout, and why this geometric method is often faster and more practical than using a string-and-radius approach—especially in a small shop. This technique is useful not just for deck beams, but also for making reusable patterns, shaping beam shelves, and ensuring consistent curvature across the entire boat. Avitaillement : Eau : 100 L pour 2,50 € Gasoil 36 L : 0,94 €/L . Récupération de la 2e bouteille de gaz de 12 kg . Départ en solo pour le mouillage devant la plage de Da Mordeira. This project is to build a budget wooden motor boat in the Mexican jungle. We are back after many things! Making the web stations and more. The making of all marine plywood takes a lot of time! This wooden motor boat is called Wooden Shoe. This is a unique project as we only using disponible wood from fallen trees. The original plans are for a 23 feet boat, but we have changed it to 25 feet and some extra cabin height. We make all frames and plywood. Senza il motore funzionante (smontato in attesa di pezzi dal Giappone per via della corrosione) e con il Travel lift del marina che si è rivelato troppo basso per farci entrare di poppa a causa dei pannelli solari, abbiamo dovuto letteralmente smontare mezza barca, rimuovendo sia lo strallo del genoa che quello di trinchetta, mentre ci facevamo rimorchiare dai ragazzi del porto con il loro gommone di servizio! Algumas peças como a base do mastro vão tendo atrito e no dia que tiver algum vento forte ele vai se partir. A falta de atenção em algumas peças pode te deixar na mão. Entender como cada parte trabalha é muito importante assim como leme, mastro, retrança, casco, velas, cupilha, bujão e muito mais. Se seu mastro esta com barriga aonde ele se apoia pode ter certeza que pode estar morrendo e você não sabe. A parede da chapa perde alguns milímetros e com isso enfraquece.
