In this episode Maru and I get up to a beautiful sunrise on a calm day. It's starting to feel like great sailboat living throughout the Bahamas! We weigh anchor and set sail to Green Turtle Cay. The winds were strong and the sailing was beautiful! We got into GTC a full hour ahead of when I planned. While there, we got our final COVID test and are now free to sail throughout the Bahamas! After that we make some new friends who also live on a sailboat nearby. But they offer us dinner and a place to take a hot shower! It was wonderful! The next day we set sail for Marsh Harbor. That night I was one of the most epic sunsets I have seen over a sailboat. And have some insight on what hurricane Dorian left behind. Teams sail through the dramatic seascape of Deception Pass

Two days ago I thought I was losing my boat and everything I owned with it. One day ago I was kitesurfing around a tropical island with sharks chasing me. Today I woke up to the most incredible sunrise I have every seen over glassy smooth water! But to make things even better, I got to see the sunrise twice. Once from my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. High up and well over all the islands. And again when the sunlight pierced through the mangroves of the islands surrounding me. This cluster of rock islands and central Sandy Cay are amazing! But unfortunately I could not stay and enjoy them more. Due to COVID-19 restricting, we both had to get a five day COVID test after entering the country. So our day was spent traveling further into the Bahamas. On our way to Green Turtle Cay to get our test. We enjoyed beautiful conditions. Filling our time with surfing, swimming/dragging behind the sailboat, playing the ukulele, and even a close visit from some very friendly dolphins. Although we weren't strictly sailing, it was a beautiful day on the water the whole way, till our destination, Aleen Pensacola Cay. . . . Watch this if you are seriously considering a boat like this and want to get a feel for the performance. I liked the way this boat drives. It feels to me like the style of boat that would appeal to someone stepping up from a fancy centre console and maybe looking for the extra weather protection and overnight ability. But back to the driving! She's quick, smooth and dry in the chop and you'll maintain a 27-29kt cruising speed no worries. Top speeds in the mid 30kts and more in the right conditions. The motors respond well in a parking situation and the boat would be a very easy boat to manage single handed at the dock thanks to the very good visibility, joystick and bow thruster plus easy access to the deck and cleats.
