We decided to motor over to the Chowder Barge this past weekend. It's a great, rustic, restaurant that we frequent because we can motor over to it and tie up at the end of their pier. If you ever make it to southern California and are in the Wilmington area, check it out. It's rustic (code for a nice, but basic place), and we really like it there. They will be competing in the Men's Skiff and Jesse is hoping that their representation at London 2012 will increase the interest in skiff sailing and interest some of the younger Optimist sailors coming through the ranks.

Friday June 8th: The fist day of the NYYC Annual Regatta kicked off today with a race around Jamestown Island. It was a picture perfect day with an increasing southerly breeze and sunny skies treated a fleet of over 140 boats in fourteen classes.
Angeliki Skarlatou (GRE) is a passionate sailor and describes the feeling of being on the water as something 'truly unbelievable'. We'll see her at London 2012 sailing in the Women's RS:X and will no doubt withness her passion for sailing up close.
