St Martin SXM - Simpson Bay Lagoon Causeway Bridge, Sint Maarten, Caribbean

A quick view of the brand new Causeway Swing Bridge in Simpson Bay Lagoon on St Martin, SXM in the Caribbean. The bridge was just installed to connect the French and Dutch sides of the island along the border that divides the two countries through the Lagoon. Over a year to complete, and the new bridge just opened for service this past week! These shots were taken from the deck of 'Sophisticated Lady' at anchor beside the bridge, and next week we should be passing through it ourselves and get some new shots of it opening for us!
