The Raja River on the island of Morotai has 7 small cascades and pools, 2 of which can be visited from the principal town of Daruba on a fun, day-tour of about 11/2 hour's drive, and 1 to 11/2 hour hike one way. Along the road we viist several interesting communities, a monument to Nakamura (a WWII soldier who escaped into the jungle here and was found still hiding from the Allies 30 yrs later). We cross "treacherous" log bridges and hike up the clear Raja River to plunge and swim in the refreshing pristine pools. Filmed in September 2012. Thanks to the Tourism and Culture Office in Daruba for providing transportation, picnic lunch, intrepid drivers and guides.

Every time we approach a national park I have the same overwhelming feeling of being very small, amazed and extremely fortunate. National parks are America's greatest asset and the fact that we are allowed to explore them is a gift. Zion National park is no exception. http://www.gonewiththewynns.com New Orleans is not your typical town. I think most everyone knows a little something about NOLA, even if they have never been. My first time Deep Sea Fishing! I was so excited it was ridiculous. I had all kinds of visions of reeling in a huge fish and making everyone jealous. Finding out where the locals hang in a small town can be tough, but in Nac, they come to you! We love this little college town and the best way to get to know the town and its people, is to go where they go. Good news is you don't have to go far. In fact, if you are staying at the Hotel Fredonia you don't have to go past the hotel bar! Well, at least during happy hour. There's a lot we were told about the Pennsylvania Dutch Country but not one person told us about the beer culture! A guide for helping pick out the best wheel option for your Hobie plug in cart. Hobie carts are must have items for easily transporting your kayak from the car to the waters edge. All of the latest Hobie kayaks can use our 'Plug-in' carts. Plug-in carts do just that...they plug into the bottom of your kayak. Choose our standard cart for light duty, heavy duty for heavy loads and rough terrain or our Hobie trax version that is the best over soft sand. Each cart has a sturdy stainless steel frame.
Kevin talks about the different fins options for the MirageDrive and has some tips for helping you choose the best option for your Hobie. The standard fins come on most of the kayaks and offer good pedaling performance and are very easy to use. The ST fins are sold individually, can be easily installed on the standard mast and offer a performance upgrade if you're looking to either increase your speed or slow your pedaling cadence. The ST Turbo come as a kit that includes two fins and two longer masts. Turbo fins offer the highest performance when you're after maximum speed and they also offer the slowest pedaling cadence when you're just out for a cruise.

We had no idea this little valley was a booming wine country. These wineries are nothing like the ones you would encounter in the Napa Valley of California. Most are relatively new small batch wines....see the full post: http://www.gonewiththewynns.com/wine-country music license purchased from istock
