E' la scelta del giornalista palermitano Giovanni Chiappisi, 59 anni, per decenni cronista de "Il Giornale di Sicilia". A luglio del 2012 la svolta: Chiappisi ha attaccato la "penna al chiodo" ed è andato in pensione anticipata, rinunciando a qualsiasi altro impegno. Da una vita da cronista é passato ad una vita chiusa in una barca a vela, ancorata nel porticciolo di San Nicola l'Arena in provincia di Palermo. "In una comodissima barca a vela, -- sottolinea Chiappisi -- comprata con la liquidazione. In un guscio di dieci metri ho tutto quello che mi serve: due cuccette matrimoniali comodissime (potrei, se volessi, ospitare anche una coppia di amici), un soggiorno-cucina con un tavolo buono anche per sei persone, una cucina con tanto di forno, un piccolo frigo, un bagno con doccia calda e fredda e la garanzia che di notte ci si addormenta cullati dalla risacca". Where to store a sailing boat in French Polynesia? Well, we chose the island of Raiatea ... and ... what a marvellous choice!!! After 6 months of storage and great people to take care of her, here we are back in the water. At last Catamaran IMPI is ready for her 2nd half of our world circumnavigation.This clip is our first with our new GoPro camera ... a clip for family and friends of IMPI being put to water again after 6 months in storage.
