Manly Nz Club racing on the 16th of November 2014. Puffy conditions on flat water with most boats experiencing capsizes or near capsizes. 15 to 20 knot winds provided some entertaining sailing on a short triangle windward leeward course with an upwind finish. First time on a hobie 16 for my crew.

My apologies in advance for the wind noise, we are trying to fix the shakiness and wind noise, but keep in mind this footage was shot before the solutions were made. In this episode we recover from our beating out in the open ocean. After retreating into the Sakonnet River, we improvise and take a safer inland approach to Newport Harbor. We also discover how nice reefing is... This was also the start of our re-provisioning experience, fueling up, topping off water tanks, throwing out trash and utilizing the resources at the fuel dock as well as our life living on the hook from place to place. We never pay for moorings or slips, rather just pick up derelict moorings because it's late in the season and dropping our anchor from place to place. Enjoy! E’ la sconvolgente realtà che emerge da uno studio condotto da Assolombarda in associazione con Prometeia su un campione di ben 5980 imprese Lombarde.

In this video, we bring up the walls and floor sections that we framed back at the house, as well as a lot of other building supplies. This trip, I cleared the site for the cabin with the excavator and we got the floor insulated and decked and the walls and rafters erected. This was a great carpentry lesson for my son and my friend's kids.

While I was in Ganges I had noticed the many interesting and sometimes surprising ways that boats are tied to the dock. One 46 sailboat had one line which was that yellow 3 strand floating braided line that deteriorates quite badly when exposed to sunlight! Seeing all boats and the various ways they were tied to the docks gave me the idea to show everyone how I tie my boat up. Since hanging up his sailing boots and swapping the trapeze of a high-performance skiff for the relative comfort of a coaching Rib, two-time Olympian Ben Rhodes is now leading the British Sailing Team’s Podium Potential 49er programme. Having represented Great Britain at two consecutive Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 with helmsman Stevie Morrison, Rhodes has spent the last twelve months paving the way for the next generation of British 49er sailors.
