Awesome Hobie 16 sailing in the wonderful Bay of islands in the North Island of New Zealand. An unofficial Regatta held by a fleet of Auckland Hobie 16 sailors on Labour Day holiday weekend.

Beautiful winters day starts out with very little wind, becalmed after 1 hour and then wind increased to 10 knots and the cloud cleared a little. Sailing Hobie Tiger for the first time.

2015 New Zealand Hobie 16 Nationals held at Manly sailing club north of Auckland. Races 1 to 5 held on saturday as fridays races were postponed due to high winds. Only one race held on Sunday due to lack of wind. Video shot on Replay Prime X HD camera.

Manly Nz Club racing on the 16th of November 2014. Puffy conditions on flat water with most boats experiencing capsizes or near capsizes. 15 to 20 knot winds provided some entertaining sailing on a short triangle windward leeward course with an upwind finish. First time on a hobie 16 for my crew.
