In August 2015, Drake went aboard the Faroese fishing vessel Liraberg to film a documentary about their voyage. They sailed for 7 days, as far 160 nautical miles from the coast, and caught over 6000 lbs of fish, including many halibuts weighing as much as 250 lbs each. This is an extended trailer of that upcoming film.

This is the last in our first series of sailors questions. Boo! Good news is we finish on a high with Liz - hoorah! We actually recorded her interview months ago in Thailand but the recording quality was terrible so we redid it today! It was an incredibly exciting morning at the New York Yacht Club at Harbour Court as teams gathered for the first time to register and weigh-in for the 2015 ROLEX New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup. Today, the international Corinthian teams received their sails, yachts and went out for their first sail on the Swan 42s. Tomorrow, the teams will meet on the water for the first day of offical practice races.

After a six-hour sail/motor from the Italian island of Sardinia, we eventually reached the lovely sandstone cliffs of southern Corsica. The entrance to Bonifacio is one of those that you can’t easily spot by the naked eye. You have to rely on maps or your plotter to find the green and red channel markers. And once you find them, you’re led into a narrow cavern with cliffs reaching high on either side. An important part of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival is the Edensaw 2 day Boatbuilding Challenge. This year 5 teams took part, two 14ft racing dinghies, a coracle, a plywood rowing dory and a traditional dory being built entirely with hand tools Construction started 9am Friday morning, finish 1pm Sunday.
