We spent the weekend in London staying on the beautiful floating super yacht Hotel, the Sunborn, moored up at the side of the Excel Exhibition Centre at The Royal Victoria Dock, where we visited the London 2016 Boat Show. We started on the next chapter of our lives and now looking what style, size etc of yacht we will be buying to move aboard and finally live out our planning of 30yrs. Join us through the next few months of planning, the good and the bad. We have been inspired by quite a few sailor/vloggers out there to document our own journey. We hope you enjoy it and will continue to join us. Carl & Jenny. The Shards round Cabo de Gata and find isolated anchorages at the foot of the dramatic Costa Blance mountain ranges including some where the beaches are "clothing optional". They visit ports along the way that were once important Roman mining colonies. Later, they attempt to sail to the Balearic Islands but are forced to turn back due to poor conditions. They eventually arrive at the island paradise of Espalmador where, with lots of humour, Paul and Sheryl try out nude sunbathing and discover the healing properties of the local mud baths.
Watch us run around like chipmunks in time-lapse mode as we pull the mast. Pretty interesting to see her become completely detached and lifted away. Also, enjoy the Video Breakdown by Yours Truly!

Want to support the podcast? http://patreon.com/SaltyAbandon People often ask how I got into sailing. I spell it out in this video. My sailing interests started around 2011 so I'm still green. With that being said, I'm crossing the Gulf on Thursday. Weather contingent, of course. I hope to sail from Orange Beach to St Petersburg on Thurs, Jan 14th. Fellow sailor and adventure enthusiast, Kathleen Bush, is crewing with me to Tampa and then she will fly back to Pensacola. I will continue to Key West! Please subscribe and like! 12 January 2016 is the date for the beginning of our sailing adventure. We leave from Dockan Marina in Malmö in the middle of the winter and so far we have planned to sail to the Canary Islands and after that we'll see where we go next. We have made a lot of preparations on the boat, we install new LED-lights, a new bed system (Froli), serve the engine and the winches. We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium, untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter, January 2016, and started sailing south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us. FAREAST 28 R är nominerad till Årets Segelbåt 2016 i prestandaklassen. Vinnaren utses på Båtmässan den 13 februari.
I spent 3 months in Thailand, mostly volunteering at Uza Beach Residence on the small island of Ko Jum.
The numbers are in, I must have an 18 inch port with my box volume to get that magic 35hz. Right now I have 12 inches on the outside, 6 on the inside, but I am going to reverse this at the cost of box volume. It should be fine, right now I have the reverse effect in weather, the ports have the perfect angle to catch water. Right now the bass boost is on, the amp is half way up, and the bass on the radio is at -7 "Range -7 to +7" with the sub levels at 10" Max 12". I am going to turn off the bass boost, it is way to much, and then add more bass to the entire system by adjusting the radio bass to flat. Boss AR1500M ARMOR 1,500-Watt Mono Mosfet Amplifier 1500 W MAX Power, 1 Channel 1125 W X 1 RMS @ 2 ohm 563 W X 1 RMS @ 4 ohm Monoblock, Class A/B, MOSFET Power Supply High and Low Level Inputs Variable Low Pass Crossover, Switchable Bass Boost Remote Subwoofer Control TS-W261D4 NEW! - 10" Champion Series Subwoofer with Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil IMPP Composite Cone Dual-Layer Elastic Polymer Surround Single Piece Basket Design Pioneer’s IMPP Composite Cone is newly re-designed to deliver a durable cone structure for accurate, yet powerful bass. The subwoofer now provides a single piece cone and drive cone, in addition to a lightweight and rigid dust cap. This combination offers more rigidity throughout the cone versus competitors in its class. An extremely durable, yet lightweight cone is vital to prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels. SINGLE PIECE BASKET The TS-W261D4 utilizes a highly rigid, fully-enclosed, single piece basket, derived from our world-record holding SPL competition subwoofers, to help minimize the vibration throughout the subwoofer and increase the driving force to the cone, producing louder and rhythmical bass. Improved stiffness of the basket provides for less sound leaks creating more clear and powerful bass. With the TS-W261D4, engineers re-designed the spider assembly to allow the subwoofer to produce more accurate and rich bass. Taking notes from our high-end SPL competition and Reference Series speakers, the spider is now assembled onto the spider holder rather than directly on to the basket. Since the cone is also assembled onto the basket which can cause additional vibration, the independent structure of the spider holder helps minimize vibration coming from the cone. This improves playback response, sound outline, and provides high linearity. COOLING AND VENTILATION All fast moving parts and friction will create heat and too much heat creates unwanted audio results. The TS-W261D4 is designed with ventilation holes to improve air flow and release heat keeping the piston cool for better performance.

This video is about Our trip from Fajardo Puerto Rico to the BVI over New Years 2016
Impi is sailing around the world and here in New Zealand now we have covered ¾ of the globe. Kawau Island here in New Zealand is one of many fantastic islands off the New Zealand Coast line – situated in Hauraki Bay, Kawau Island is vibrant, has a community of sailors sharing their knowledge with young folks wanting to learn to sail through ‘sail training camps’, houses the oldest industrial site in New Zealand, Sir George Grey’s historical Mansion House and so much more history. This is a must see island for cruisers passing through New Zealand. One will have to forgive me for sharing a party celebrating Ana’s birthday at the end of the video – we realise this is not part of Kawau Island but serves as a terrific memory for us going forward. The Trimaran Spindrift 2 is expected around 19:00 at OUESSANT and around 10:00 p.m. at the Trinité sur Mer. To undertake the crewed around-the-world record is as much about the human adventure as it is a technical and sporting challenge. The men and women working alongside Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard at Spindrift racing have been preparing this race against the clock for almost three years. The target: to sail around the world in less than 45 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes. The tough record they will try to beat was set by Loïck Peyron and his crew in 2012 on Banque Populaire V, which was renamed Spindrift 2 a year later. The French-Swiss team decided to use the same 40 m trimaran because they believed that the boat could be further optimised, a task that sailors, engineers and technicians at the team have been working on ever since. After countless hours of work at the boatyard and 40,000 nautical miles of racing and training, the Spindrift racing-prepared trimaran is all set to go. The team will officially go on stand-by on October 19th and wait for the ideal weather window. Spindrift 2 crew for the Jules Verne Trophy Yann Guichard, skipper Dona Bertarelli, helmsman-trimmer Sébastien Audigane, helmsman-trimmer Antoine Carraz, helmsman-trimmer Thierry Duprey du Vorsent, helmsman-trimmer Christophe Espagnon, helmsman-bowman Jacques Guichard, helmsman-trimmer Erwan Israël, navigator Loïc Le Mignon, helmsman-trimmer Sébastien Marsset, équipier d’avant François Morvan, helmsman-trimmer Xavier Revil, helmsman-trimmer Yann Riou, media reporter Thomas Rouxel, helmsman-bowman Jean-Yves Bernot, onshore router Simone Gaeta, substitute Thomas Le Breton, substitute Jules Verne Trophy Start and finish: a line between Créac’h lighthouse (Ushant island) and Lizard Point (England) Course: non-stop around-the-world tour travelling without outside assistance via the three capes (Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn) Minimum distance: 21,600 nautical miles (40,000 kilometres) Ratification : World Sailing Speed Record Council Time to beat: 45 days, 13 hours, 42 minutes and 53 seconds Average speed: 19.75 knots Date of current record: January 2012 Holder: Banque Populaire V, Loïck Peyron and a 13-man crew Maxi-trimaran joined Spindrift racing on: January 2013 Stand-by start date for Spindrift 2: October 19th, 2015 See more at: https://lc.cx/4JRY __________________________________________________________________ SailingNews TV is the N°1 yachting and sailing channel.
