We discovered the Mr D Thermal Cooker back in 2010 at the Southampton Boat Show. It seemed too good to be true: just heat the pot on your galley stove to simmering point, then turn off the gas, place it in the thermal cooker and let it slo-o-o-w cook for the rest of the day, or even overnight, while you go out and sail. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium, untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter, January 2016, and started sailing south along the coast of Europe.
